Lyon ran down the stairs of the five storey apartment and propping his skateboard on the pavement, zoomed to the market. Golden Bloom marketplace was a bustling area lined with shops ranging from groceries to spectacles.
Lyon skid through the crowded streets and reached his destination. Quality Ironsmith's is just as the name suggests. Lyon used to hang out in the musty shop watching the owners beat red hot iron into different shapes. He scanned the walls of the shop, looking at the already made pieces. When he reached the medallion area, something caught his eye.
Hanging on simple red ribbon was a piece of circular iron. On it was carved the concentric symbol. What Flavio had called the Trinity Seal. Lyon took it off the wall and fingered the inscriptions. Why does this appear everywhere? Wish I knew what it all meant. Suddenly, the owner came behind him and said, " Found it three years ago under this shop. Strange how that sign appeared everywhere, ain't it? 7 dollars, no less." "S....seven d..dollars?", Lyon had five with him. "Can you make it five, sir?"
"Not a chance kiddo!"
"How about I do something worth two dollar?"
The man started laughing. "You're one helluva kid , ya know! Tell you what, find me two customers and I'll give it to you for free."
Lyon raced through the streets of the marketplace, asking random people whether they want to visit the ironsmith's. It must have looked weird with a boy with buzz spiked hair going around advertising ironsmiths. All of a sudden he crashed into a blonde girl. She had an hourglass figure and her face was plastered with makeup. As he pulled himself up, Lyon racked his brains, trying to think where he had seen this girl.
Two thoughts came into Monica's mind when she saw the boy that had crashed into her. Hot stuff. Swap to flirty mode. Monica dusted her clothes casually and playing with her blonde hair, said, "Awfully sorry! I was in a bit of a hurry. My name is Monica. What's yours sweetheart?" Lyon raised his eyebrows. Sweetheart? That's when he remembered her. Monica. Diana had told him she had hurt Elsa's feelings by teasing her about something touchy. Lyon frowned as he ignored her outstretched hand. "Name's Lyon. I have to get going." As he tried to side step her, Monica hung on to his arms saying, "But stay for a while!! Lyon!" Suddenly a voice came from behind them, a voice Lyon was so glad to hear.
"Lyon?", Elsa asked when she saw the boy Monica was clinging onto. Diana made a gagging face when she saw Monica flirt. "Poor guy!", she muttered. "Elsa! Diana!", Lyon exclaimed happily. He took his arm back from Monica and went over to his friends. Monica had a bewildered look on her face, "You know THEM?" Lyon smirked and said, "Yep! My best buddies." Elsa and Diana giggled at Monica's face. Monica became green with envy. She gave Elsa a look that said 'Game on' and strutted away.
"Weird girl.", Lyon muttered. Elsa broke in, "What are you doing here?" Lyon suddenly felt like his shoes had become interesting and looked down. "Nothing?" "You are hiding something.", Diana mused in a 'matter of fact' way. "No I am not."
"Yes you are!"
"No!"
"Yes!"
"No!"
"Both of you stop acting like kids.", Elsa intervened, shutting both of them up. She turned to Lyon and asked, "Tell us. We are 'best buddies' after all." The other two grinned and the Lyon spoke up, "I found this thing I really liked in Quality Ironsmiths but I didnt have enough money to buy it. So the owner said that if I find him two customers, he would give it to me for free."
Diana glanced at Elsa and said, "For a teenager, you are EXTREMELY dumb, Lyon.""What?", Lyon asked confused. Diana rolled her eyes and said, "You could take us. We are TWO. Besides we are indebted to you." Lyon's face lit up as he asked, "Really?" The girls nodded, smiling.
