Right after New Years things went back to the way they used to be. Hazel spent her days being a loner, with the occasional visit to Hagrid's and sometimes a detention by Professor Moody. Decided to ignore what Aurelius told her, pretending nothing ever happened. It was better for the both. More for her own sake nevertheless.

The highlight of the month was when Fred Weasley blew up a cauldron during potions class. Luckily Snape was behind him leading to the greasy Professor to have blond hair for a week, Hazel was pretty sure Fred did it intentionally. The amount of puns and jokes she cracked with Kialo were too much to count.

Though, she still couldn't figure out what to do with the second task. It was clouding her mind not letting her think straight. That's why she was walking to her second favorite place of Hogwarts, the kitchen. Back in second year she followed a few older Hufflepuff's leading to her finding the amazing kitchen. It is full of House elfs who are ready to help in anything.

So that's what she was doing, heading towards the Hogwarts kitchen so she can bake a cake.
As she grew up being ignored and outcasted by her mom, Hazel barely had meals during the day. Her mother never bothered to prepare her something and instead she had to learn by herself how to make things for her own in order to survive. Over time she grew a passion for cooking although it wasn't so easy at the begging.

Hazel heard a few rushing steps behind her. Thinking it was Kialo she turned around with a smile on her face only to meet with Harry Potter.

"hi. How's it going?" Harry asked as if nothing. Hazel frowned at him while she kept on walking forward, taking away her wand with a huff.

For once, she decided to at least be civil to the younger boy, deep down feeling bad for
him."Not much. How about you?" She asked.

Harry panicked inside not believing she would actually be nice to him, like ever. Quickly, he composed himself proceeding to ask, "Do you want to go somewhere else and talk?" He questioned, mentally face palming himself for going so forward with her.

"I'm dying, so I'm going to eat cake" She said turning the last corner seeing the portrait of the fruits encouraging her to go faster.

"But you are not dying"

"Let me eat cake anyway" She remarked arriving at the portrait.

Hazel turned to look at him watching as he nervously waited for her to snap and scream at him but instead she just smirked.

"You are not my favorite person today"

"I'm not your favorite person any day"

Hazel grinned letting out a laugh exposing her dimples making Harry smile at the cuteness he sees in her for the first time.

Hazel tickled the pear on the portrait making the portrait open revealing a bunch of house elf's running around.

A small house elf came up to her covered in hats and socks, "Miss Merrythought, is there anything Dobby can help you with?"

"Yes actually, Dobby can you bring me all the necessary ingredients for baking a cake?"

"Dobby?" Harry asked being surprised Hazel knows the house elf.

"Master Harry Potter, you are friends with Miss Merrythought?" Dobby asked with his huge orbs switching between Hazel and Harry.

The girl was quick in replying to the creature, not wanting to give away her actual nice person to the boy she hates the most. "Dobby, the ingredients"

The house elf apologized and hurried to search for the ingredients leaving them both alone once again.

Harry nervously scratched the back of his neck while shifting from one foot to the other, "Are you sure you want to do that? The last time you tried, it exploded"
