As a reward for the Dungbom placed at the common room (and almost killing a small second year) the least the fool of Albus Dumbledore could do was reward the Slytherin's with a visit to Hogsmeade no matter the age, oh yes and the best part, during a school day; Monday. That day Hazel woke up excited with the thought that only Slytherin's were going to Hogsmeade meaning no annoying third year Hufflepuff's or Gryffindor's.
Hazel walked to the bathroom and locked the door wanting peaceful time to herself. It's been so long since she actually looked at herself in the mirror that she feared her appearance must be like a homeless person. But she, of course, was meet with something much worse,
Her reflection.
Just kidding it wasn't that bad, just that she looked uncared for. Her black hair was a tangled mess, huge under bags and dry lips. After Hazel took care of her face and hair she looked once again to her old self. One thing she noticed over the summer was how her cheekbones became more noticeable and soft freckles appeared on her porcelain skin.
Hazel never really had the opportunity to enjoy the wonders of Hogsmeade since her being banded when she was just staring third year. Now that she was older the magic the small village used to hold is no longer there for her. So things that entertained her were minimal, one of them being an all Quidditch store.
Apart from Kialo and Aurelius being small kids and getting everything they could because now they made part of the team, there was nothing interesting or new. She opted to watch as both boys shoved away some third years out of the way to get some gloves. Tears of laughter were coming out of her eyes as she tried to keep her eyes open to try and watch more of the iconic duo but her eyes diverted to a man outside of the store looking lost not knowing where to go.
James Potter
Just thinking about him brought chills to her body. The man was intimidating, label as the best Auror and having been part of the Quidditch team she only wishes to be part of really caused Hazel to in the slightest bit admire him. Sure she thought James Potter was an arrogant prick for always having men follow him around with cameras and getting away with everything but Hazel couldn't deny his success.
Hazel turned back to watch this time Aurelius fight with a young girl about some goggles while Kialo encouraged him from behind. Not noticing how James saw her and came in to the shop to where she was standing.
He observed as her eyes light up with amusement as she watched something in front of her, how her posture was rigid but upright as if it was natural for her and her hair fell in perfect waves down her shoulders.
"Helloo Hazel" He shyly said and mentally slapping himself for sounding like the first time he asked Lily out in a date.
The girl slowly turned to watch as he half smiled at her. Hazel has never been this close to the man and could definitely say he was tall - not as tall as her father or Remus, though- but tall indeed and definitely well built. He was the resemblance of Harry Potter although he looked to have more confidence in himself looking too cocky.
"Is there anything you need?" She asked not intending to sound so rude.
James grin never faltered, instead it only grew bigger as he shrugged. "Just wanted to say hi"
Hazel kept on staring at James as he ran a hand through his messy hair. Her mind couldn't help but wonder about all the memories and love she would of have towards him if things were different, but they weren't and this was reality.
"Would you be doing anything special today?" He asked as he stepped a foot forward.
Hazel's eyes for a moment went to Kialo who was not so secretive staring at her as he pretended to listen to what Aurelius was saying to him. Back to James he was stilll looking at her, "Not in particular"
