The summer break was better than she expected. As they were living at the Merrythought Manor she barely heard or saw her mother because of how big the house was. She got time to spend with her uncle, getting to know him made Hazel realize he wasn't a Death Eater by choice but rather he was forced into it by Hazel's grandmother. Though it did not mean he was good, in fact he is one of the most cherished follower by Lord Voldemort, which scares Hazel knowing how she fought with him that day. What she suddenly found herself liking about him was the stories he would tell her about her uncle Regulus Black during their school years. Although Astral was a year older he was still friends with the younger Black.
She also spent time with Kialo and Aurelius, sometimes they would even go to Diagon Alley. The only bad thing that hunted her that summer was the amount of nightmares she got every night, all related with Voldemort or watching Cedric's dead body.
She tried researching on why she was born with some kind of feelings if she was conceived under a love potion. She couldn't find anything about it, information always led her to dead ends.
The night before her seventeen birthday, more like it was already the first of August, she got such a strong nightmare Hazel decided to grab her broom and go flying around London to calm herself down. She arrived at a Muggle neighborhood and decided to walk around the park, enjoying the silence the city had to offer at this late hour.
"What are you doing out here, alone. . . And without shoes?"
The familiar nasally voice of her head of house came from behind her. She stared at the Professor who was lighting his wand at her face. With her hand she lowered his wand and gave him a smile.
"I'm good, thanks for asking. How are you Professor?" She teased. Hazel almost saw a trace of a smile on his face but before she could make an embarrassing comment he grabbed her arm and pulled her towards a different direction.
They stopped outside some Muggle apartments, Snape muttered something and instantly another building appeared in between number eleven and thirteen. He grabbed her arm again almost causing her to drop her broom making her walk up the stairs and inside the house.
Hazel looked around the dark place full of spider webs and creepy things, it was scarier than her house.
"Damn Professor, I didn't know you were into students" Said Hazel, more like shouted, for his own good.
As much as Severus hated to admit it, the girl always found a way to make him at least crack a smile. As he feared, the whole rest of the occupants of the house- who were in the dining room- laughed at the comment the girl just made.
Hazel started to walk around memorizing every detail, she couldn't wait to tell Kialo she was at Snape's house.
"This way" he said going through another hallway walking to a room. Hazel foolishly followed, she found herself in front of about fifteen people, all who where sitting at a table.
She spotted Dumbledore and McGonagall, along with who she guessed was the real Alastor Moody. Potter, Granger and the Weasley's were there, even Percy, whom Hazel saw how he scowled at her. Remus, James and Lily too, with four people she has never seen before. Lastly there was her father sitting at the end of the table.
They all were staring at her and that's when she became self conscious of her appearance. Her hair was a wild mess- more than usual- she had no shoes on, and she was wearing reindeer pyjamas with her black broomstick and wand in hand.
Sirius jolted up right at seeing his daughter standing there, he wasn't expecting her at all.
"Um— What Am I doing here?" She spoke, more to Snape, as she eyed the people in the room. If her mother finds out she was out of her hed she would be dead by the morning.
