"Hagrid" Hazel called before throwing another rock to the Black Late to watch it skip until sinking. "Did you know the Potter's own a Quidditch summer camp? I was never allowed to attend by my mother."She remembers just a year before coming to Hogwarts for the first time, she heard about the amazing Quidditch summer camp the Potter's had. She begged her mother for weeks until her mother had no more of it and as a punishment sent her to a Muggle school for a week. Hazel instead of hating it she loved it, it was the first time ever she interacted with kids her age apart from Kialo and Draco. She learned so much from Muggles, specially the fact that they are nothing like her family made them to be.
They were actually decent people.
And that's when her believes changed, realizing her mother had been wrong all along. Being pushed into thinking something about a matter she had no knowledge about infuriated Hazel.
Hagrid, sitting near the shore replied but not exactly how Hazel wanted. "I don't want to sound rude Hazel, but why aren't you in Hogsmeade stuffing yourself with sweets?"
"Nope. First, I have no friends. Second, I have to think how to survive the second task" Hazel answered. She grabbed another rock, this time throwing it it but before it could sink she shot a spell at it causing it to explode.
"Do you have a dress already, Hazel?" Hagrid asked again in hopes he would encourage the girl to at least walk around the village.
"Oh yes. My mother always forces me to pack a gown just in case." She said shrugging. "If you want me gone just say it"
Hagrid only sent a glare her way, secretly saying yes but never actually telling her.
Hazel moved to sit next to the half-giant, enjoying the silence of the place.Hagrid was out of excuses to push Hazel out of there, meaning he was in a big mess. James and Sirius were coming in an hour and for the mental health of Hazel, he preferred if she was not present when they arrived.
Thankfully his prayers were heard because a girl he has never seen before came walking to where they were. He heard Hazel curse under her breath when she noticed too the girl coming their way.
The girl stood in front of Hazel waiting for her to open her grey eyes at her.
"Could you please move away from the sunshine? I hate the smell of burning plastic" Hazel said even though there was barely any sun since they were surrounded by snow.
"Hazel I need to speak with you" Acantha Nott said even though her voice was full of nerves.
Hazel opened her vibrant grey eyes to stare at her. Her sandy brown hair was pulled back by a beanie and she was wearing a Slytherin scarf.
Hazel offered a small smile at Hagrid before standing up to her full height. She picked up her white earmuffs and hugged herself before starting to walk with the girl Hazel once could call sister. It was uncomfortable, the only sound between them was the crunching of snow beneath their feet. The last time they spoke was years ago. Hazel could say she was so good at pushing people out that during the years they haven't been friends, Acantha Nott was just a forgotten memory even though most of the times she was right next to her in classes.
Suddenly Acantha stopped turning her body towards Hazel who stopped too staring weirdly at her.
"I can't take it anymore Hazel. I want us back to the way it was"
"You came a little late, I'm sorry to inform you but things have changed" Hazel remarked.
"No, it hasn't-" desperately said Acantha coming closer to Hazel, she on the other hand backed away.
