Just before the train came to fully stop at King Cross station Hazel started to grab her things. It was the twentieth of December and all the students at Hogwarts who wished to go spend the holidays with their family were allowed to leave.

It always seemed so stupid for Hazel to celebrate Christmas, wizards barely associate with anything the Muggles do, so why do they celebrate Christmas if it's a Muggle tradition?
Even Purebloods did it, which it's really hypocritical of them if they load the the Muggles. But she can't really complain that much since A, they got no school and B, presents from the Malfoy's, which usually are really expensive and very well thought out.

"Are you coming to the Christmas ball, Azie?" Kialo asked from where he was sitting next to Aurelius at their compartment on the train.

"Perhaps if my mother let's me go" Hazel answered barely above a whisper.

"Father says they have a surprise for us"
Cheerfully said Kialo.

"I wouldn't get my hopes up that much" Aurelius spoke.

"Why?" Hazel asked as she sat down once again.

"I overheard some friends of Draco speaking about You-Know-Who going to the Ball" said Aurelius standing up this time to grab his things too.

"You don't think that-" Hazel started but never finished out of fear. Ever since Voldermort came back all she has ever heard in the Slytherin common room is how their parents were going to make them join his army. She was fearing the moment she has to step once again in front of that horrible snake like man and receive the Dark Mark.

When the train fully stopped Hazel said her goodbyes with Kialo and Aurelius before boarding off looking for her mother, if she even shows up. If not she had to go with the Malfoy's, which she wasn't looking forward to since Draco has been trying to get revenge for the one time she hit him with her broom.

Her uncle Astral was standing awkwardly next to Mrs.Parkinson, who was trying desperately to get his attention. Astral at noticing the chuckling girl rushed to her and surprising Hazel, he pulled her into a hug.

Hazel just awkwardly stood there not sure on what to do. Until he ended the hug with a huge smile on his face."Glad you are finally back." Astral said as he took her luggage. "Your mother has been a pain in the ass"

Hazel let out a genuine laugh, "When she's not?"

The following days leading up to Christmas day were pretty boring. She killed time decorating the Manor with Astral and reading outside in the snow until her fingers felt about to fall off.

On Christmas Day though, her mother forced her into a black long dress that hugged her figure and a pair of high black heels. Her hair was pulled back in a high ponytail and agreed to wear make up making her already fair skin look like porcelain. Her mother has stated today would be a very important night for their family, which made Hazel think for the worse.
She still didn't forget about Christmas with Sirius. She just figured it was during dinner time so she'll just sneak out of the Malfoy Manor and go to 12 Grimmauld place to at least be present for an hour.

As the three Merrythought's came out of the fireplace they were meet with the Ball room full of people. Important families were everywhere wearing the most expensive gowns, standing by their own as they judge each other from afar. It always grossed out Hazel how they judge anybody who didn't reach their standards and how they all seemed just fine doing it.

Hazel was instantly left alone by her uncle and mother and without a choice she walked outside knowing all the people her age were there. She felt all the stares and whispering as she gracefully walked all the way to the door that led outside, finally made it without tripping Hazel took in the sight of all the people of her close age showing at least the minimum emotion as they laughed and talked with each other. It was refreshing from what was taking place inside. She barely knew anybody here outside, not even the people from her same year at school.
