Two dark figures can be seen atop a steep cliff above a burning town. The female sit carelessly on the edge while swinging her legs back and forth like a child. A slightly older male stands behind her, a bit more cautious of the cliff.
"Isn't the fire so pretty, brother?" the young girl asks while tilting her head backwards to look at the young man.
The boy scrunches his nose," It smells like burning flesh, and it makes me want to puke."
"That's my favorite part," the girl giggles like a child.
"You really are psychotic." The boy muses.
"Mhm," the girl replies absent mindedly.
"I love the way that your heart breaks
With every injustice and deadly fate
Praying it all will be new
And living like it all depends on you
Here you are down on your knees again
Trying to find air to breathe again
And only surrender will help you now"
The girl's melodious voice rings out in the night sky like a lullaby.
"Y-you monsters! I'll kill you!" a man's voice interrupts the female's singing.
"Brother, you forgot one." The young girl lazily states to the apathetic boy behind her, almost as if the threat didn't interest her.
"Sorry, I'll take care of it right now." The brother replies while drawing his sword.
"That's no fair," the girl mopes, finally taking an interest in the man. "You got to destroy the whole village by yourself, let me do something." The girl crossed her arms and stuck her bottom lip out as if she were a spoiled child arguing over a toy. The boy sighs at his younger sister's childish antics.
"Fine, go ahead." He tells her while sheathing his blood soaked blade.
The girl squeals in delight, "Thank you brother!" She springs to her feet and wraps her slender arms around the boy, causing him to blush a bit. The girl then proceeds to look at the angry villager. Anger isn't the right word, perhaps devastated or mentally unstable would suit him better. Either way he was ready to kill. "Let's play a game! If you can manage to keep yourself alive for 30 seconds then I'll let you live!" the seemingly innocent girl says gleefully as if she were about to play a child's game, such as tic, tac, toe.
"Just die!" the villager bellows while he charges rashly at the girl, metal pipe raised above his head.
"I didn't even say start yet," the young girl mutters while side steeping out of the way. "Okay, GO!" she chants as the man brings the pipe around to collide into her. She effortlessly jumps into the air and lands atop his pipe.
"Are you not going to use any weapons?" her brother asks, slightly amused.
"No, that would be too easy. I want to make this last for as long as possible since I didn't get to help take care of the village." The girl continues to have a conversation while dodging every one of the man's attacks. "Tag, how much time has it been?" the girl asks her brother.
"20 seconds," he informs her monotonely.
"Okay, now time to start attacking," the girl announces before her eyes are washed over with a solemnity. She ducks under as he swings the pipe over her head and then she brings her fist up, colliding with his jaw. Sickening crunches could be heard as the man is elavated off of the ground from the child's force. With her immature personality seemingly gone, she wastes to no time. Before he can even plunge back to the ground she roundhouse kicks his stomach, sending him flying into a tree. He stumbles to his feet coughing up blood. The girl covers the distance between them in a single step and drives her left hand through the man's body. He sputters and gasps from the immense pain. She then yanks her hand out, preparing to finish him off.
"30." Tag declares. Her face turns from a terrifying killer into a childish pout in an instant.
"Aw, I lost." She whines as she walks away from the half dead man. "I guess this means that I'll let you live." The girl waves at him as she walks towards her brother. The last sight the man saw was a mad girl waving at him, his own blood covering her hand, and his city boiling behind them.
"Sister, I wouldn't consider that losing if he dies anyways," Tag tries to explain to her.
"The deal was to KILL him in 30 seconds," she drags out the word 'kill.' "And he was still alive in the end."
"Tag, Shira! Hurry up, we're leaving!" a rough voice, belonging to their father, comes from the direction of the sea.
"Coming!" they chime in together as they stride towards the ports.
