Nelli's Perspective

I'm so tired but you know what, I'm pumped because its my birthday. On September 29th 1999 a real bad b was born. It's 7 am and Emmanuel is slumped. I don't even know why were so tired cos we didnt even do anything and we werent under the influence.

I got up and I checked my phone. I had a missed call from an unknown number? It called me like 4 times... weird. If it calls me again I'll ask Emmanuel to answer. Weird... I pt my clothes from yesterday on and asked Eman to drop me home so I could go get ready.

I opened the door to the house and it was quiet. Too quiet... I wont lie I was scared. I looked straight ahead into the kitchen and there was no one there.

I didnt bother checking the living room I went straight up to my room and BOOM!

I was swept off my feet because I was swiped from the behind. I was being held down on the floor and various figures were on top of me hitting me. I was in shock and I was about to start scrapping and screaming till I heard them counting.

Wow these man are childish how are they giving me birthday beats?

"One more for luck" They all kicked me in unison.

"Ahh man that hurt" I groaned while V helped me up, he's even snapping me. I swear if this snap gets into the hands of the law these lot are all going jail for this brutal beating.

"Happy birthday rugrat" Glory squeezed me. He kissed my forehead. V hugged me and so did Kingsley. There were 4 presents on my bed.

Im so pumped I jumped on my bed to open them.

"say mums you got me and iPhone 8 plus!? Glory I LOVE YOU FOR REAL!" I threw my arms around him and he chuckled

"Get off me tho this is abit gay" He laughed. I opened the rest and V got me my birthday bundles and outfit and Fenty highlight. I didnt see a present from Kingsley... hmm.

I got ready and Jas came over to keep me company then that unknown number called me again. I hesitated before I answered Jas snatched it and answered the phone pretending to be me.

"Yeah hello its Nelli... Thank you..." She was laughing at first until the persons started talking me, she started to look worried which worried me. She hung up the phone and threw it back on the bed.

"Who was it?" I asked

she brushed it off and started laughing "Deffo had to be one of the college boys so silly, saying dirty things over the phone they need to grow up" she giggled, I brushed it off too. She'd have no reason to lie to me.

We continued getting ready till like 10, we went downstairs to get my package with my birthday outfit in it. Kingsley called me into the living room while Jas wondered off into the kitchen to talk to my other siblings.

He handed me a pair of jordans which were from Tion and handed me a moncler jacket from him. I was quite shocked he even got me something to be honest.

I gave him a hug and I went upstairs.

Jas' Perspective

Earlier when that person called Nelli... it was a shocker I wont lie. It really caught me by surprise. Nelli never ever talks about her dad to me. None of these lot ever bring him actually, Im gonna tell Kingsley he called.

I went into the living room after Nelli had run upstairs.

"Kingsley can I ask you a question please?"

He turned his attention my way and looked me in my eye.
"Go on"

"Its abit personal"

He squinted at me "Yeahh go on" He spoke slowly

"Urm wheres your dad?"

He kissed his teeth so loudly and looked irritated. He was about to stand up and leave the room.
"Wait Im only asking because he called Nelli today."
He stopped dead in his tracks and turned around.
"What do you mean he called her?" He shut the door behind him and came close to me.
"He called her on an unknown number and she made me answer I lied and said it was one of the college boys"

He touched the side of his beard looking all stressed and said nothing. It was so awkward I wanted to leave

"Don't tell anyone, if he calls again give him my number and tell him it's Nelli's new one"
I nodded and went back upstairs.
