Cassie and most of the kids were sleeping soundly, and Alastair and I were the only two left awake. Alastair suddenly turns to me with an odd look on his face.

"Father, when you met mother again for the first time, why did you tell her the people in the glass balls were time jumpers? You and I both know that they're not. You even made Lissa lie for you." I grit my teeth. Sometimes I forget that he is always watching. It can get slightly annoying.

"You think I wanted to tell her that all those were my children that I had while she was dead? That would kind of destroy her. Just finding out about Mara and Sara almost broke her, and they were accidental! I don't want to hurt her like that." He shakes his head.

"But she does deserve to know. I would not like to be kept in a glass ball, and I know you didn't appreciate it either." I shake my head.

"I know you're right, but it's something I'm just not ready to talk about. Not until she's herself again." Alastair looks uncomfortable. "What is it?"

"Have you considered that she might not be the same person she was ever again? Every other time shes been laid to rest, she was able to keep her soul. This time, you were forced to remove her soul to preserve her. Which I believe my doing that, a connection was severed. Her body was eternal too, but pulling her soul away could have broke that connection." I sigh.

"So are you telling me, to get her back we have to find her old body?" Alastair shakes his head.

"It might be a bit more simple than that, actually. I believe you would need to find an immortal vessel. Everyone of her children, and your children, are mostly immortals. You would need to find one that would be willing to sacrifice their body to bring their mother back." My mouth hangs open in shock.

"How could you even propose that? That's horrible! I could never ask one of our children to die." Alastair nods.

"Yes, I am very aware of that. I am one of your children. But since I am one of your children, I also know that existence becomes tiring. One of the girls may be willing to depart her body for now until you could find mother's actually body. Which lucky enough for you, I know where it is."

"You do? Why didn't you just start with that? You got me all mad for no reason." I cross my arms and pout at him. He made me act dramatic. Boo.

"There is always a good reason for my methods father." He smiles. "I told you this for a reason. I don't know the exact location of the body. The only person that does is Mother." I shake my head.

"Alastiar, you're not making much sense." He holds up a finger.

"Would you like me to draw it out for you?" He pauses and I motion for him to continue. "When mother took her last breath, she sent a message to me. She simply told me, 'You can fix this'. She knew that she had messed up, but she made sure that I would know how to get her back. Since I was the third oldest, and she has always trusted me as her advisor, she gave me plans on how to bring her back. Years before she was killed, she told me her plans. If she were to die, her soul and body would be separated, and by letting her body go, she would be able to be brought back. Lissa has kept her soul safe through the years waiting for a proper vessel, or reincarnation to be born." Alastair senses that I have something to say, so he pauses his speech. "What is your question?"

"Why was I kept in the dark about this? I'm her husband, one of the gods of all creation! You've been hiding everything from me!" I can feel heat rushing to my face from the anger building up inside of me. I felt my blood rise in temperature, the power coursing through me.

"I know that you're upset, but I am doing exactly as mother instructed me. Now, can I finish the story? I promise I can answer all your questions." I nod grumpily and wave my hand for him to keep going. The power wanes, and I can fell a silent sigh of relief from Alastair.
