The next day, I had to go back to school. We were all sitting in the caff talking about Magcon.

"You should've came!" Aaron said.

"Yeah, I'm sorry, I couldn't celebrate your birthday with you." I said to Ash.

"It's fine, at least you called." Ashley smiled.

"You called her and not me!" Cameron gasped clutching his heart.

"Sorry, Dallas, Ash Ketchum is my main."

"Then what am I?"

"My side."

"I thought I was your side!" Shawn said.

"I have two sides, left and right." I explained.

"Then what about me!" Matthew and Carter said at the same time.

I laughed, "Y'all are my main betches, okay?"

"Okay." They all said.

"Anyways, so then what happened?" I asked.

"Oh yeah! We met Ava and she's so nice!" Cameron said.

"And hot." Johnson added.

"Her accent is sexy." Gilinsky said in an Aussie accent.

"She's so funny!" Aaron said.

"And hot." Johnson repeated.

"She's beautiful and she held my hand while on a really scary ride."

"Dude, that was the Dumbo ride." Nash said.

"Shut up, you were scared too!" Shawn said

"Did I mention she's hot?" Jack J said.

"Jack and Jack was thirsty for Ava as you can tell." Matt said.

This was so awkward...

Ashley nudged me.

"Why didn't you ask her out?" Ashley asked.

I stepped on her foot under the table.

"Ow!" She yelped.

"I ain't about that life." Jack J said.

"And.. You can tell, Shawn and Cam are already competing for her."
Gilinsky added.

"Dude, ill back off you can have her." Cam said to Shawn.

Shawn remained quiet and just nodded.

"Wow, Shawn. Who knew you were quite the ladies man?" Matt wiggled his eyebrows.

Shawn shrugged, "I'm cool like that."

During science, my teacher assigned us a project to work on with a partner.
Ash and I looked at each other.

"I will be assigning the pairs." Mr. Evans said causing the whole class to groan.

"Ashley and Stephanie." Mr. Evans
said.

Ashley rolled her eyes and pretended to shoot herself.

"Ew you." I heard Stephanie say to Ashley.

"Ew to yourself." Ash replied.
I chuckled.

"...Adelaine and Brianna."

"No!" Brianna and I yelled in unison.
"Please, Mr. Tanner I can't work with her!" Brianna pleaded.

"I don't mind switching partners." I said plainly.

"Sorry, girls you will have to learn to work with each other."

"Ugh!" Brianna crossed her arms.

"How about this," I started. "I do all the work and you put your name and stay in your lane."

"No! Then you're gonna do some boring ass project that I'll be blamed for not guiding you."

"You guide me?" I laughed. "Stay in your lane, Brianna."

"Listen, Butera." She spat. "You can do the work, but my way."

"Funny. It's either I do all the work my way, or you do the work your way," I said.

"Another option is doing the work equally with a shared idea." I added.

"Fine third option, at least it'll be good because I'm working on it too." Brianna muttered.

I just rolled my eyes and took out some paper to write down notes.

Note to self: Don't get paired up with Brianna.
