Unforgettable Sunday 3

Dom's POV

As me and y/n started walking down I stopped at the bottom of the steps to see a woman with dark brown hair, similar to y/n's. Her eyes were dark blue, complimented with bags underneath her eyes. I turned around to look at y/n and noticed her face was white, like she had seen a ghost.

"What mom?" Y/n said. Her voice was quiet. She seemed quite embarrassed. I was too.

"Who is he?" Y/n's mom said, pointing at me.
"M-me?" I stuttered.

"Tell me kid, what other boy do you see in this damn house!? Do you see another person because I'm pretty sure my daughter is not a boy!" She shouted.

I felt y/n place her chin on my shoulder.
"Start walking out the door, I'll meet you outside in a bit." She whispered in my ear.

I was shocked, too worried to move, but I listened to y/n and started to walk through the door.
Y/n's mom moved to let me through, and shoved me out the door.

"Don't fucking come into this house or speak to my daughter again!" Y/n's mom screamed and slammed the door behind me.
I set the boxes down on the steps and sat down beside them.

I sat there for about an hour listening to all of the yelling and screaming inside the house. I wondered what was going on inside y/n's head at that moment.

A long while later, y/n finally stepped out of her house with the boxes, and closed the door behind her. Her eyes were red as if she'd been crying. She dropped the boxes on the steps next to the other ones I had placed there earlier.

I saw a tear slip down her face as she sat down next to me. Y/n put her head on my shoulder and started crying. I put my arm around her and she burrowed her nose into my chest. After sitting there for about ten minutes, as she started to stand up.

"Well let's get my shit and go to your house then ay? She asked, her voice still shaking.
"Um, yeah" I agreed.

We grabbed all of the boxes and headed to my house. I grabbed my keys from my pocket and unlocked the door once again. We walked inside and set y/n's stuff onto the floor. Y/n walked up to me and wrapped her arms around me, pulling me into a hug. I hugged her back and sighed.

I felt comfortable, the sort of comfortable you get when you are really, really comfortable and feel like you could say or do anything, and it wouldn't matter.

In that moment I wanted to tell y/n that I loved her, but I knew it was way too soon and didn't want to upset her more. We had just met the other day.

"Thank you for being so nice to me Dom. Really." Y/n smiled. She let me out of the hug and looked around.
"Where would my room be?" She asked me still smiling.

I knew when I had told her she could move in with me, I had forgotten something. The other room that I had was my recording studio.

"Um," I sat there for a second. "The one room I have that isn't mine is occupied so, we'll have to uh, share a room." I felt my cheeks turn bright red as hers did as well.
"That'll be fine." Y/n spoke so quietly, her voice was barely audible.

We brought her boxes upstairs in my room and set then out of the way.

"I can sleep on the couch until the van comes Tuesday." I quickly said before y/n had time to say it.
"No, it's your house, I think it would only be right if I slept on the couch." She argued back.
"No, no, no, no. You had such a bad day today. I'm sleeping on the couch." I said, arguing back again.
"What if we shared a bed?" Y/n asked.
"I mean" she continued.
"You did say we were best friends?"

She said as she started to blush. I did as well.

"I mean, I guess." I shrugged.
"Its all settled then. Do you still want to hang around town for a bit today?" She asked.

I checked my watch and the time said 4:00. It would start to get dark at 7 so we would have some time.

"Sure. Why not." I shrugged.

We left the house and started to walk towards town. We laughed and laughed at each other the whole way there.

I was glad y/n was feeling better because of me. Maybe it wasn't me. Who knows? All I knew was I happy right then and there and throughout the rest of the day, everything went perfectly.

As we got home, y/n looked exhausted.

"I'm going to head up to go to sleep, I've got school in the morning." Y/n said. Then I had realized I had school in the morning as well.
"I'll be up in a minute, I'm just going to eat something quickly." I replied. She nodded and started heading up the steps. God did I love her.

After I grabbed a snack, I headed upstairs to see y/n brushing her teeth in the bathroom. As I went to go join her, I noticed she was half asleep already.

She finished brushing her teeth and went to go to sleep. I finished brushing my teeth not long after.

I went into the bedroom and layed down next to y/n. She was already asleep. As I searched for comfortable position to sleep in, she cuddled up to me and put her head on my chest. I smiled, kissed her on the forehead, and finally drifted off to sleep.

That night I woke up in the middle of the night and realized how close me and Y/n really were after knowing each other for only a few days.
