"I promise I'll never leave your side ever again."
My cheeks were bright red, mind fully awake. Felix's arm was still weighing down on me, his breathing loud but steady, meaning he already fell asleep. The sentence just kept replaying in my head, whatever I did, I couldn't get it out.
What seemed like hours went by. The sunlight slowly started filling the room through the thin curtains. I still haven't slept a wink. Not being able to sleep, yet so tired. I could feel Felix's arm weigh less, him eventually lifting it up and turning around, still laying in bed. I slightly opened my eyes, watching Felix with a smile on my face, not even realizing when I started smiling.
In a split second, Felix turned around again, looking me right in my eyes, our faces only inches apart. "I already thought I could feel someone staring" he said laughingly, his eyes smiling as well. I smiled awkwardly, feeling totally busted. He suddenly grew flustered as well. "Ah, I'm, ehm, well, they used all the mattresses, so I, well..." He turned around again, pulling the blankets over his head. "Please don't kill me."
I burst out in laughter. "Do I seem that violent to you?" He slowly turned back, his eyes peeking out of the blankets. "Seriously, why does everyone think they're getting murdered here, Minho too last night. Are you guys that violent to each other?" Felix furrowed his brows. "Minho? Why were you with Minho last night?" "He's the one who literally pulled me inside because you'd probably kill him if he didn't, how else would I have come in?"
Felix still looked a bit puzzled but just shrugged. "I thought you simply used the key under the doormat, don't you remember?" I turned quiet, actually remembering they always hid it there in case of emergency. He flicked my forehead. "You really are an idiot" he said laughingly. "come, let's make you some breakfast."
The more we went down the stairs, the better it started to smell. "What the" Felix said as he went inside the living room, seeing six boys all huddled up on the couch. "Oh, Chan, Lix and Y/N are awake as well" Minho said. "Wait Y/N, what are you doing here?" Jisung asked confused. "I thought you went home? I saw you leave yesterdaynight when Felix got home."
All eyes were fixated on me now. "Wait, aren't those Felix's clothes?" the younger one noticed. "I locked myself out of my own house so Minho let me in yesterday, Felix lend me his clothes and said I could sleep here, that's why" I quickly said to prevent any misunderstandings, but it was already too late for that.
"Then, where did you sleep? All the matrasses were used right?" Chan asked as he came out of the kitchen with two more plates of scrambled eggs, carefully putting them on the table. "Sorry it's not much, I didn't know Y/N was joining us" he added with a soft smile, making me shake my head instantly. "It's okay, sorry for the intrusion." Felix glared at him. "Listen, she slept here, that's all there is to know, let's just eat."
Breakfast was one of the liveliest morning I've ever had in a long time. Everyone introduced them selves, but when I heard a certain name I immediately jumped up. "Wait, Jeongin as in Yang Jeongin?" He looked up surprised. "Yeah, how did you know?" I chuckled. "I heard a lot about you from my friend, Krissel, do you by any chance remember her?"
His eyes started to sparkle as soon as he heard her name. "Of course I do, we were classmates for quite a while but I didn't see her much after I moved. How has she been?" I let out a chuckle after seeing him being so interested, maybe she has a chance! "Why don't you ask her yourself?" I asked, remembering the text she sent him. "She texted you right? It'd be nice for the two of you to catch up."
Without thinking, he grabbed his phone, instantly checking. "SO THAT'S WHO THE MESSAGE CAME FROM!" He ran to the hallway and we could all hear the phone ringing. Chan let out a sigh. "I just hope he knows what he's doing", eyeing to Felix who didn't seem to notice.
Just after, Jeongin came back in the room with a huge smile on his face, my phone started to ring. "I'll be right back" I quickly said as I walked into the hallway as well. "Y/N, JEONGIN IS HERE, AND HE ASKED ME ON A DATE" Kriss screamed through the phone, making me burst out in laughter. "When's the date?" I asked, making her panic even more. "Tonight so I gotta go shopping, bye bye!" she said and hung up.
I walked back, only to find a huge mess. Felix and Minho were on the ground, rolling over the floor as Chan and Changbin tried to separate them. Minho's lip was slightly redder than usual. Jisung ran up to me, grabbing my arm. "We're ehm, going out for a walk to buy some food!" he shouted as he pulled me out.
"Jisung, what the heck was going on over there?" I asked him as he kept pulling me along, not letting go of my wrist. "Jisung, come on!" I said as I stopped, pulling my wrist out of his grip. He let out a sigh, turning around. "Believe me, you're better off not knowing." I shook my head. "Listen, my best friend is finally back and now he's already getting into fights with you guys, seriously, what's going on?"
He finally gave in. "Let's just say he's really protective over you. Minho made a comment, making Felix angry and before we knew it they were on the ground." I shook my head. "Why do guys resolve everything with fighting" I mumbled under my breath. Jisung shrugged, walking forwards again. "Anyways, let's go get some food and go back before Felix will try to kill me too."
