Ch. 54: If You Love Me.

-October 29, 2013-

-Reina's p.o.v-

I woke up and looked next to me to see Don sleeping peacefully. Looks like i slept for the rest of the night yesterday. I rolled out of bed and walked to the bathroom. I looked at myself in the mirror and stretched before examining the bruise. My cheek was now purple.

I sighed and tried touching it. It hurt much worse than it did yesterday. I heard a knock on the bathroom, kind of startling me. I looked at the door and it opened.

"Good morning." Don greeted.

"Morning." I replied.

"How's your bruise?" He asked and gently grabbed my chin, pulling my face towards his. He sucked his teeth and shock his head. "Doesn't look too good." He said with a slight frown.

"Babe i was wondering if i could go visit my cousin, i promised him I'd visit after i moved out." I turned and faced him.

"Yea, get some makeup on love. I'll get ready." He gently rubbed my unbruised cheek and smiled. I smiled back and tried my best to cover it. I already knew it wouldn't work but trying to hide most of it was my goal. I also didn't want Josh noticing because he would get hurt by Don. I know he is strong and he is older but Don was tough.

I finished getting ready and so did Don. We walked out to the car and drove to Dallas.

"Now how did you get that bruise?" Don looked at me for a second before turning his attention back to the road.

"I-i hit my face on Blake's kitchen island." I stumbled over my words a bit.

"How?" He asked again.

"I fell and hit my face on Blake's kitchen island." I said again sounding a bit for confident and more sure of my answer.

"Yup." He rubbed my hand. "If you tell them what happened, you don't want to know what's coming. If you love them, don't say anything." He smiled. I forced a small smile and gulped.

-45 minutes later-

-Reina's p.o.v-

We pulled up into the driveway and i walked to the door and knocked. Krystal opened the door and smiled when she saw me.

"Hey how are you?" She greeted.

"Good. Where's Josh?" I asked as i looked around.

"Working." She said.

"Aw man i came to visit him too." I said. "But how have you been, I've been meaning to see you too." I said. Don followed me in and sat next to me.

"Good. How are you Don?" She asked him. They met when i was moving out. He was here to help pack things up.

"Im good ma'am and you?" He smiled and said politely.

"Good. Thank you." She giggled and he winked. She loved him. "Reina, I've been meaning to ask, what happened to that handsome guy who brought you here?" She turned her attention to me.

"We broke up a while back and then i met Don so here we are now." I replied. She nodded her head and then looked at Don before looking at me in shock. "What?" I questioned.

"Reina what the hell!" She grabbed my chin and pulled my face forward.

"Oh that bruise?" I said. "Yea, we were at Don's friend's house, Blake, and i fell and hit my face on the kitchen island." I explained.
