In Love With Remington Leith (Discontinued)

Ch. 58: Manslaughter.

-November 15, 2013-

-Reina's p.o.v-

I began crying as we pulled up to the court house. It was no longer just a building to me. It was scarier. Knowing what's headed your way is terrifying. I just felt so bad for Josh.

We walked inside and entered the court room. Half of the people were here and when everybody arrived, we began. Don's parents were crying and they had Josh guarded just in case the parents tried something. Apparently its common.

-1 hour later-

-Reina's p.o.v-

After a long time of anticipation, they finally made they're decision.

"Your honor, the members of this jury find the defendant guilty." The jury spokesman said.

"Joshua is sentenced to 10 years for manslaughter. This court is adjourned! All rise." The judge hit his mallet on the little wooden plate.

We began crying and stood up. Josh was taken away and he held his head down. Don's parents stood up and looked at us. Chris shot them a look and Krystal held onto him.

"Let them be Chris. Come on." She whispered. We climbed back into the car and made our way home.

When we pulled back into the driveway, i walked to Josh's room and cried so hard that eventually i passed out and slept throughout the day. I was tired since i had a lack of sleep.

-30 minutes later-

-Reina's p.o.v-

I woke up and breathed in the scent of Josh. I then remembered what happened and sat up. I pulled my phone out and called Remington.

*answers phone.*

"Hey." I said tiredly.

"You ok?" He asked.

"Yea. Just got home from the hearing. Josh is sentenced to ten years for manslaughter. I just want to come home." I said sadly.

"Alright. We'll book you a flight on our next break." He said, trying to calm me down.

"Im sorry for everything. This is all my fault." I cried.

"Its ok, alright? None of this is your fault. Hell, if i never left you, maybe none of this would've happened. Its my fault." He spoke.

"Shut up. This had nothing to do with you." I sobbed. He sighed.

"I'll give you a call when we figure out when you're coming home." He said.

"Ok. Thank you for letting me come back." I calmed my crying.

"Of course Reina! You don't have to thank me." He said.

"Bye."

"Talk to you later."

*ends phone call*

I walked to the living room where Krystal was and stood in the hall until she directed her attention to me.

"What is it sweety?" She asked calmly.

"Im going home soon." I said quietly.

"Alright." She nodded and leaned back again.

"U-unless you want me to stay?" I said.

"No no sweety. Don't let this stop you from going home." She said.

"Ok. Remington said he'll give me a call when he knows when im coming home so I'll let you know." I said. She nodded and continued watching television.

Once i said that i heard my phone ringing from the room so i walked back and sat down. I looked at the phone and it was Remington, not even 5 minutes and he already knows when im coming back.

*answers phone*

"Hey."

"Hi. So i talked to Sebastian and he said that our next break day is on the 19th. He is booking a flight right now. You'll be arriving in Salina, Kansas. It'll take an hour and 20 minutes for you to get here. The flight will leave a 7 A.M.." Remington said.

"Alright sounds good. I'll get packing tomorrow." I replied.

"Ok, see you then. Im sorry about everything, again, i hope something lifts your day up." He sighed.

"Thank you. Bye."

"Bye."

*ends phone call*

I was just about to get up and walk to the living room to inform Krystal when i noticed that she was already standing there.

"So you're leaving tomorrow?" She asked.

"No. Im leaving on the 19th. Im packing tomorrow though because i want to be ready. Im going to call a taxi over so i can get a ride." I said.

"I was going to take you." She walked over and sat next to me.

"I don't want to wake you u-" Before i could argue she interrupted.

"I want to say good bye. Im going to wake up at 4 so i can take a shower and im going to wake you up at 5 so you can do the same, and then im taking you to the airport at 6 so you can get there on time." She demanded.

"Ok." I nodded and looked down. I heard a sniffle and looked back up.

"Im going to miss my beautiful girl." She cupped my face.

"I'll be back to visit. I don't know when but I'll be back." I said. She hugged me and i hugged her back.
