Walking hand in hand, the couple made their way down the sidewalk. Seokjin decided they both needed some fresh air, so he brought Y/N on a little walk instead of driving the rest of the way. Her home wasn't too far from the gate and it wouldn't be suspicious if she was only a few minutes late. Y/N's little head bobbed beside her boyfriend, having to take a few extra steps to catch up with his long legs.
"Jinnie, don't step on the cracks, please."
"Why not?" Seokjin slowed down, looking down at his feet.
"Cause the fairies will get squished!"
"Oh no," He widened his eyes, playing along as he smiled at her fondly. "I didn't know fairies lived there."
"They don't live there! It's a fairy hotel."
"A fairy hotel?"
"Yes." She nodded matter of factly. "They're lawn fairies! You can't see them cause they're super tiny! The landscaper people are gonna mow the grass today so the fairies go in cracks so they don't get booboos."
Seokjin tried to hold back his laughter. Not that any of this was humorous, it was just too cute. She was completely serious and wholeheartedly believed that the cracks in the sidewalk were fairy hotels. Y/N looked down, taking wide steps over each line between the separate blocks of cement. She really cared about those lawn fairies. Seokjin looked down at his feet and started stepping over the cracks with her. As he watched for cracks with her, he noticed something strange.
"Y/N, where are your shoes...?"
She looked up at him and began giggling mischievously, not responding to his question.
"Did you leave them in the car?"
"Nooo~" Her voice tilted with suspicion.
"What-" Seokjin started laughing. What was she doing? "Are they in your purse?"
She pulled her purse securely under her free arm, refusing to let go of his hand or let him see her purse.
"Baby, please just-"
"They're on, Jinnie~"
Never stopping the giggling, she insisted that they were already on her feet, which were obviously bare. She didn't make eye contact with Seokjin for a second. She wasn't very good at lying.
"They're not on."
"It's not good to lie, Jinnie~"
"I can see your nail polish, Y/N!" Seokjin raised his voice, pointing at her feet as he laughed hysterically. He was in complete disbelief at how she was actually trying to accuse him of lying.
"Look, my shoes are so cute and on my feet!"
Seokjin just sighed, not responding. Y/N took this as an 'I win' moment and grinned from ear to ear. But suddenly he gasped, making her head whip up to look at his face curiously.
"I see them now!"
"You see them?!" She gasped looking down at her feet, smiling. Y/N smiled, knowing she must be a really good trickster to have fooled Seokjin this well.
"Yes, your shoes are untied," He gasped dramatically. "You should tie them so you don't fall down."
"Ohhh, yes! I don't want to fall down, so I will tie my shoes that are on my feet."
Y/N nodded and squatted on the ground, tying her invisible shoes. Seokjin snuck around her quietly, peeking through the opening of her bag. Sure enough, there were her little white sneakers with her blue socks poking out from their insides. He smirked as he reached his hand in and suddenly pulled them out, holding them high above his head.
