After a long car ride, your uncle and you arrived in a Japanese town called Hanamura.

Looking out the window you were mesmerized by the sakura leaves blowing in the wind.
Hanamura was more traditional than the city you used to live in.
In fact, your home was the only traditional building in the whole city.
This was, a whole new experience for you.

You were nervous, not knowing the people you would live with, nor how it would be there. You just missed your parents and wanted them to be with you.

Walking up to the 'house' of the Shimadas, you didn't know what to say.
Holding onto your uncles hand you looked up at the house. It was huge, and more like a castle built in traditional japanese architecture.
It was the biggest building in the whole city and you could see it even though you were miles away from it.
Walking up to the big gate  three maids waited for you in front of it.

The maids bowed, greeting your uncle and you politely with kind smiles.

"You must be (Y/N), come follow me I am going to get you changed into something more fitting."
The maid said reaching out her hand to you.

You looked up at the beautiful Japanese woman, her long black hair was tied up into a bun and she was dressed in a white kimono that had a family crest on it that showed two dragons forming a circle.
You looked at your uncle before taking the maids hand and following her into the house arriving at the maidquaters, where she brought you into a little room.

"I have already prepared the clothes you will be wearing meeting master Shimada."
She said, going up to a chair on which was a pile of neatly folded clothes.

"(Y/N), please take your clothes off so I can dress you."
She said as if it would be the most normal thing in the world.

In this moment you were worried about two things, you were old enough to dress yourself and didn't need help for that and Kumo was still hiding in your pocket and you didn't want her to notice him.
At least one of these problems solved itself.

"(Y/N), if you distract her, I will hide under the bed."
Kumo said to you over telepathy.

"Miss, can't I just dress myself?"
You asked distracting her, but at the same time you just didn't want her to dress you.

"(Y/N), you don't have to be embarrassed, we are alone, and I'm used to dressing other people. I help the young masters all the time when they need to be dressed."
She said going up to you to take off your clothes.

"B-but Im old enough to do it myself!" You said backing off.

"(Y/N) you need to look presentable if you meet master Shimada and his sons, so please just let me dress you!"
The maid said, in a more strickt voice than before.

You just gave up arguing with her at some point and she started dressing you in a kimono that was (f/c), and had a belt with sakura petals on it.
While you got dressed you looked over to Kumo, who seemed to be sleeping under the bed.

"Do you even need sleep, Kumo?"
You asked him.

"Ughhh you woke me up..."
he said opening his eyes, looking up at you.
"To answer your question, no I don't.
I also don't need to eat human food to live, but human food is just too good to not be eaten."

"You eat?!"
You were confused, not expecting Kumo to actually be able to eat.

"Why would I not be able to eat?"
He asked reading your mind.

"I dont know!" You said.

"Ok Im done (Y/N), we will go and meet master Shimada and his sons now."
The maid said looking at you once again, making sure you would be presentable.

"Come on, I don't want master Shimada to be angry because we are being late. He doesn't like it when people keep him waiting. "
Another maid said, stepping into the small room.

She almost dragged you out of the tiny room, walking towards a gigantic room, that had a big dragon painting on the wall, and a little shrine with a katana in the center of it.
You were amazed by how big this room was, not noticing that your uncle had entered it.

"You look wonderful (Y/N), I think now is a good time to tell you..."
he started but didn't finish his sentence.

"Tell me what?!" You asked, confused and worried.

"Tell you, that I wont stay with you. (Y/N), please try to understand me, I need to get back to the battlefield, but you will be in good hands here. They will care for you and give you a home, you can even go to school. You just need to work as a maid here, and everything will be fine. Im deeply sorry that it had to turn out like this, but its the only thing I can do to give you a somewhat normal live."
He said, looking at you with a sad look on his face.
Tears started forming in your eyes.

"(Y/N), promise me that you will be a good girl, so don't cry. I will come to visit you every so often"
your uncle kneeled in front of you, wiping away a tear that rolled down your face.

"Why is everyone leaving me...?" you whispered.

"I wish I had a choice and could stay with you, but I can't leave the army like that. Once again (Y/N), Im deeply sorry..."
he said one tear rolling down his face.

In this moment everything got silent, as master Shimada and his sons entered the room.

"Remember my sons, be nice to her, she lost everything she has. So please don't be too intrusive, she will need some time by herself later." Sojiro Shimada whispered to his sons as they walked into the gigantic room.

"Welcome to our house (Y/N), I know you would rather live back at your old home, but I hope as time passes this will become your new home."
Sojiro said out loud so you could hear it from accross the room.
"I was hoping that you would be eating dinner with me and my two sons tonight, so we can learn more about you."

"Of course sir!"
You said pretty straight forward, knowing that declining wouldnt be an option.
