Genji x Reader - The Pact

Chapter 33. Escaping

Today would be the day you were going to escape.
You felt ready and prepared, although you didnt really had a plan for escaping.  Your plan just consisted of killing everyone in your way.

The day started off like always, you were woken up by a guard kicking your mattress and you. Then he put the muzzle on you and gave you your hearing aids so you could put them in yourself, since you werent allowed to wear them while sleeping because they needed to charge overnight.

There you were sitting on your mattress, your hearing aids in your hands. 
You qickly put in the hearing aids and looked up at the guard.
This woukd be the moment you would strike. 

You stared into his eyes, as he gazed back at you. It was as if he knew what was expecting him.
You decided to seize tge moment and quickly took off your muzzle since you werent in handcuffs yet.
In that moment he already knew that he lost the fight that didnz even begin yet.

The guard tried to tackle you to the ground, but you were faster. You kicked him in the stomach, threw him on the ground and quickly covered his mouth to keep the guard from screaming.

"(your battlecry)" you screamed and then watched as the man bursted out into blue flames.
He didnt scream, he just silently burned. 
You took his pistol and then walked through the metal door that he had left open, rushing down the long hallways. 

The base was like a maze, so you didnt really knew where you were going.
Trying to keep quiet you sneaked through the base, holding onto the pistol tightly.  Kumo was right behind you which made you feel safer.

Escaping wasnt too hard, you just sneaked through the hallways, and every now and then a guard would come your way which you just let burn. 
But then suddenly the alarm went off. You started to panic a bit, but kept going. Someone must have seen you and then set the alarm off.
You heard a lot of footsteps heading your way and decided to hide in a spare room that was nearby.
Waiting for them to pass by the room you held your breath not daring to breathe.

You were scared of being caught, knowing that what they woulf do to you would be terrible. There was nothing that you wanted more than to escape and see the overwatch members again that were like your family. 
The will to come back to your family and escape made you go on. No matter what you would have to do, you would escape.

As soon as you couldnt hear the soldiers anymore you stepped out of the spare room, and continue walking down the long grey hallway.
At some point you though that you would never escape the base, it felt as if you were just walkig in circles because everything just looked the same.

But then you finally saw it, you saw the sunlight again and knew that there was only one door left to your freedom. Not thinking about what could wait for you behind that door you rushed through it, and the sight of about one hundred soldiers greeted you. 
All of them had their machine guns aimed at you, ready to shoot and kill if they had to.

You were frightened, your body being unable to move. After a few seconds you realized in what Situation you were.
"You cant escape (Y/N), there is no hope!" Someone said over a megaphone.
"Bring your hands up to your head and then dont move! We wont shoot if you coorperate!"

You slowly brought your hands up to your head.
'Fuck this I would rather die trying to escape than rotting in that little cell on that dirty mattress for my whole life!'
Everything happened so slowly, not even moving a bit you called out for Kumo.

"(Battlecry)" you screamed. 

Blue flames spread, and made your enemies scream. You watched as the fire burned everyone.
Then there was nothing but silence for a moment, before the birds began chirping again.

"Are you ok (Y/N)?" Kumo asked worried.

"Yes, lets keep going! We need to find a vehicle so we can get out of here!" You said, while starting to walk towards the big garage.

You entered carefully and luckily it was empty.
Walking around the big black cars you saw that the keys were still in one of them.

"Seems like we are lucky!" You whispered to Kumo before getting into the big car.

"Uuuuhm I dont want to take the fun away but....do you even know to drive (Y/N)?! I dont remember that you ever got your drivers licence." Kumo said worried, as he sat down on the seat besides you.

"Well...I dont, but Genji and I always used to play that car race game in the arcade, so driving cant be that difficult!" You said not wanting to admit that you had literrall no experience in driving except a video game that you played a few times.

"Uhhhh ok...If this doesnt work I can drive, Ive been in many cars before.  In fact I even saw the first car to excist, back then everyone thought it was the work of the devil..." he said trailing off. 

"Kumo...its really not the right time right now to flex on me with all the things you have seen in your hundreds of years of lifetime..." you said as you grabbed onto the steerin wheel tightly and started the car.

Surprisingly you managed to start it with the first try, and drove out of the garage.

"Wait! What are you going to do about the fence and the barrier." Kumo asked as panic rose up within him.

"Drive through it! What else am I supposed to do?" You said giving no fucks at all.

"Welp I guess this may be the day I die..." Kumo whispered to himself as he turned into a racoon and put his seatbelt on, holding onto the car door tightly as if it depended on his life.

"Just relax Kumo! This will be like a fun roadtrip!" You said to him, but it didnt change anything.  He was still panicking.

You had a bit of trouble driving but eventually got the gist of it. It was quite a long ride to the main gate, and the two of you started to relax as the omnium behind you got smaller and smaller in the mirror. 

"What are we going to do now?" Kumo asked.

"Get the fuck out of here and then find a way to contact Overwatch or  get to the headquater." You answered, always keeping your eyes on the road ahead of you.

"I dont think you can contact them, they probably think you are dead and wont believe its really you. They will need to see you in person..." he mumbled.

"Do they really think Im dead?" You asked, but it was more of a rhetoric question since you already knew the answer deep within yourself.

"We dont really know how long we have been there...but it was at least a month. Im sure that they searched for us, but they probably just had to give up at some point...but who knows, maybe they are still hoping that you will return one day...." he answered your question.
"If they see that you are still alive they will be the happiest people on earth, so dont lose hope yet, ok?" He asked. 

"Ok!" You simply answered, before speeding through the main gate.

The two of you were finally free again. Even though you had a long road ahead of you, the two of you were cheering, happy to finally return home again.
