Today was the day that you would finally go on your first mission.
You were sick of staying in your cell and training all day and you were ready to finally see the light of the sun again.
Kumo and you thought about running away while being on the mission or searching for help, but a part of you was really scared to do that.
The things that were done to you in the red room last time you decided to do something dumb were terrible, and you knew that it would only be worse the next time.
But one thing was for sure, you didn't want to stay in that damn cell forever and you and didn't want to be part of a war, not this war.
And most importantly not on this side of the war.

Something that had helped you everytime you were treated unpleasent, which was quite often, was that you imagined that Genji would be with you or you thought about some nice memories you had with him.
You thought about your first kiss with him, or how you used to secretly meet on the roof to watch the stars,  how you saw a shooting star once and your only wish was to stay with him forever.
Back then everything was perfect to you, but what you experienced at the moment was awful and more than just a nightmare.
Your life turned from seemingly endless happy moments into a cruel reality and right now you were on the way to a battlefield, in a big truck filled with soldiers.

You didnt really fit in, a 16 year old girl in between trained soldiers.
But they all knew what you were capable of.
You were given a uniform, it was green and had a black bullet proof vest, the only weapons you were given were a sword and a knive.

Your only task was to kill and protect the others, if you wouldn't do it right, they would put you back into the red room to torture you.

Your first mission was something you would bever forget, more specifically, your first kill.
After that mission it always felt the same.

Arriving at the battlefield, you saw a view you would never forget, but not in a good way.
What you saw had engraved itself into your memories.
The land was completely flat, only mud and some dead omnics scattered over it.
It was devastating.
Hurt soldiers trying to escape, but there was no hope for them.
The omnium had built up a camp for the soldiers, consisting of tents for sleeping and one big tent where the hurt people would be treated.

You looked around a bit more, always feeling the gaze of the other soldiers on you.
You knew that Valentine gave every single one of his servants the order to watch you and never leave you out of sight for even a single second.

He was too scared that you would run away.
You were priceless to him, a weapon that would destroy all his enemies, and he would do everything and anything to keep you by his side.

It took you a while to realize that you were not a human ho anyone in the omnium, but just a weapon.
They saw you like they saw their omnics, weapons that just need to be programmed on killing.

They spend months on programming you into their perfect weapon.
But a human is not the same as an omnic.
Because of that they knew that they would have to break you, steal everything from you that made you human.
They stole your name from you, started calling you eight.
You were nothing more than a number for them.
They tried to erase your memories, but they didn't succeed.
Their goal was to drive you insane, by torture and hard training, until you would reach the point of only listening to their orders.
But Kumo wouldn't let that happen.

At this point Kumo was the only one that kept you from going insane, giving up and losing hope.
He was the only one you could talk to.

Kumo was always there, as he had promised you he wouldn't leave you, ever, he would be part of your soul until your death and so Kumo was there for you on your first mission.
He warned you if you were being attacked and always had your back. He wouldn't let anything happen to you.
Your task was to push back the enemies, to get more land for the omnium.
You were ordered to kill everyone in your way and because of the fear of being punished, you followed them.

It was the first time you used Kumos powers in battle.
You called out for him  (just choose something like a battle cry that you like, I will call it b/c), and then he flew over the land in the form of an eagle and made everything burn with blue flames.
As time passed and you continued to use them, you had killed hundreds of people.
After many missions, the people gave you the name blue girl, because all your enemies burned to death in the blue flames of hell.

Lying in your sleeping bag after your first mission was over, surrounded by other soldiers, that were already sleeping and snorring, you were wide awake.
You couldn't get the screams of your targets out of your head, they haunted you at night.
The screams of the soldiers you had killed. Men and women, that were only fighting for the safety of their land.
You just couldn't get your mind off of it.
It was awful.
You were a murderer.

You knew that Genji would hate you for this if he would still be alive.
He would be dissapointed in you, but he wasn't there anymore...crying yourself to sleep you tried to forget the horrors of your first mission. Forget all the faces of people that had died, because they haunted you in your dreams.
There was nothing that you wanted more than to escape the nightmare that was your life at the moment.
