Chapter 6. Falling in love

You woke up like you always did, and then started dressing while talking to Kumo about whatever was on your mind.
You still hid him from everyone else, but grew really close to him.
Kumo was family to you, and you just told him everything.

After having your little morning talk with Kumo, you went outside to do your daily chores around the house. It was hard work, but you got used to it over the years you stayed at the Shimada castle.

Cleaning the floorboards of the patio, having a great view on the training area. While you cleaned you watched Genji train with his brother.
You were always amazed by how strong Genji was, he even taught you how to fight somewhat good.

Watching him you didn't notice that you had stopped scrubbing the floorboards and were just staring at him.

"Shouldn't you clean the floors instead of staring at me, (Y/N)?" Genji said appearing in front of you all of a sudden, making you wince in fright.

"G-Genji...!" You stuttered.

"Nawww why are you turning so red (Y/N)? Are you embarrassed~"
Genji said smirking at you, looking into your (e/c) deeply.
Everytime he looked at you that way, you fell for him more and more, but you would never admit your feelings for him. You were scared of ruining your friendship with him.
Besides that Genji was a playboy.
Every week he brought a new girl home, you often watched as he disappeared into his room with them. Of course you werent dumb, you knew why those girls were there, and everytime a new girl came to visit Genji it hurt your soul and made you jealous.
You just decided to bury your feelings deep down inside of you, and to never tell Genji about how you really felt.

"Whats wrong (Y/N)? You seem to be caught up in thoughts, whats the matter?"
Genji asked, worry in his voice, as he looked down at you.

"I-It's nothing young master Genji!
I will need to continue cleaning now or the head maid will be angry at me." You said rushing away, trying to hide your red face.

You cleaned the whole day, but your mind was clouded with thoughts of Genji.

"Ughhhh Kumo, I still have to bathe him today and just can't seem to get my mind off him! What should I do?" You asked him.

"(Y/N)...I don't want you to be dissapointed, but I'm not really that experienced when it comes to love.
I was never in love..."

"Never?! Like never ever?!"
You were surprised.

"What do you expect (Y/N)? That theres cute demon girls around every corner?! As much as I know I'm the only demon on this earth. "

"Thats kinda sad Kumo..." you said looking at him, wishing he would fall in love someday.

"Who are you talking to (Y/N)?"
Genji asked coming around the corner so quick that neither you or Kumo could react fast enough.

"Nawwwws it that your pet?"
Genji said taking a quick glance at Kumo.
"Wait a minute...why is HE GLOWING BLUE??"
He started freaking out.

You started to explain everything to him and for some reason he didn't mind at all, the opposite he liked Kumo and found him quite cute.

"Well, anyway thats how Kumo and I met..." you said.

"Why did you hide him all that time, you could have told me about it..." Genji said, a bit of sadness in his voice.

"I'm sorry...i was just scared about how you would react, well why were you searching for me?"
You asked wanting to know why he was even looking for you.

"Well its already evening, I had a hard training aaaand its your time to bathe me...~"
He said with a wide smirk on his face.

"Why do I still have to bathe Hanzo and you?! You guys are grown men you should be able to do it yourselves!"
You said trying to get yourself out of that situation. You already couldn't get your mind off of Genji and you knew seeing him almost naked only covered with a towel would make it worse.

"Well we can shower alone....come on (Y/N), I really enjoy it when you bathe me!"
He pouted, wanting you to bathe him really bad.

"Uhhhhh Ok, get yourself ready I will be waiting in the onsen..." You said walking towards where the onsen was.
Letting your legs hang into the warm water you started to relax a bit.
Looking at your reflection in the water made you think back to how you came here. This was your home now.
You were not paying attention to anything around you, not noticing Genji sneaking up on you once again, leading him to push you into the onsen.

"GENJI!" you screamed at him, looking at your clothes that were wet and transparent now.

Genji just smirked at you while getting in the water walking up to you. Standing in front of you, he looked into your eyes, pulling you by the waist to get you closer to him.
You could feel his warm body against yours, and him touching your body made you blush.

He put his free hand on your cheek.
"(Y/N).....I meant to tell you this for a very long time, but I never had the balls to do so. The elders of the clan may want you to marry my brother, but I love you! And I won't let my brother take you away from me, I will fight for you." He said stuttering a bit while still looking into your (e/c) eyes deeply.

His words made you blush even more. You couldnt believe what he had just said, it was a dream come true. But what was the thing with you marrying Hanzo?!

"Genji...I basically love you since forever..." you said silently.

"Then why did you never confess your feelings to me?" There was pain in his voice.

"I thought you weren't intetested in me...and then you always brought those girls home. I thought you just wanted to stay-" you were stopped by the feeling of Genjis soft lips on yours.

He started to deepen the kiss, making you close your eyes.
You held onto him tighter, enjoying the moment and never wanting it to end.
Genji started playing with your long (h/c) hair, while still holding you by the waist.

This moment was magical and like a dream to you.
