Y/N had some explaining to do.

The raven-haired remembered that day perfectly, the day in which things changed and would never be the same again. Everything they had done together everything they had gone through together was all for nothing. If they couldn't trust one another. They had gone through hell together the blue-eyed man simply couldn't piece together why she would ever do this to him.

The pain in his chest from that day still remained in him to this day. He hated everything... Life and more importantly his prior best friend Y/N. He hated every waking moment where he felt all his pain this grief. Once he had everything and now he had practically nothing.

No one seemed to give a damn about what happened to him. His mother seemed to be the only one that cared. Whilst he couldn't help yet to push her away. When Gabriel and Lucifer left for college it left him with no one. Castiel doesn't know how he made it through the rest of Junior year nonetheless how the hell he made it through his senior year... Those two summers had been hell for him and yet he made it through.

The good old days were over, and Casitel simply couldn't accept it. Whilst he knew that maybe the good old days could have lasted forever if Y/N just wouldn't have betrayed him as she had. He could go on and on for hours about how unfair life was and yet it just wouldn't help.

Maybe he was right and this was a sign for something, although in his five years of being without her nothing had leaped out at him, nonetheless struck him in the face. However, maybe it had been a good thing she left him, without that he wouldn't have known how fragile he actually was and how much he truly needed her. Without that single day, he probably could have gone his whole life without realizing that he was prone to anxiety attacks, whilst Y/N seemed to be the person that halted them.

No matter how much he tried the past simply couldn't leave his mind, and now here he was reliving it. Ever since Y/N ditched him, the town had never felt the same... It had an eerie like feel that ceased to go away. Castiel despised the feeling.

Places in which he used to see happy memories were now ruined with the bad ones... Something that Y/N had caused him. Every time he glanced over a place that used to mean something now stood as just a place. And though it was in his bones to love this town that he grew up in the just couldn't.

Because in this town he had lost something he loved.

Though you're supposed to let go of things you love, he simply couldn't... Well, maybe he just didn't want to. It was hard for Castiel to move on from things, it took him two months to get over his dead goldfish, and three days to get over his favorite pair of pants ripping. The worst part of it all seemed that this heartache simply wouldn't leave him alone nonetheless go away.

"Y/N... Y/N please slow down," Castiel panted trying to catch up to his best friend who darted down the sidewalk.

She didn't say anything... Not even some excuse the raven-haired man knew she probably had. The blue-eyed man was crushed that she didn't wait for him... Nonetheless, make sure that he was alright after the fight.

The nurse didn't do much good for him, simply giving him some ice and a bandage for across his cheek. His nose had stopped bleeding and lucky his nose wasn't broken so there seemed no point in going to a hospital.

"Please let's just talk," He pleaded once more finally placing a hand on her shoulder one in which she had been able t shrug off.

"Not right now... I-I have to... Have to-"

"You have to what? What's more important than making sure your best friend is alright?" He finally snapped out through hurt whilst they finally halted in their tracks. Y/N's back still toward him as she never turned around on the sidewalk to face him.

"I have to go," She mumbled trying to get away however her legs ceased to move, her brain no longer able to communicate with her body.

"What the hell did I do to you huh? What the hell have I done to deserve this silent treatment," Castiel had been shocked by the words that escaped his lips whilst he didn't know where this sudden courage was coming from.

"I don't want to talk about this," She hissed back never seeming fazed by his hand becoming placed on her should whilst he tried to get her to face him.

Finally, they were facing one another, though their gazes ceased to meet as his blue-eyes searched desperately for hers. "Please I just want to know what I'm doing wrong," His voice came out low, soft and fragile... So fragile she almost couldn't hear him, as she took in a shaky breath.

"People at school actually like me, and it's not my fault you're being left out," She explained her face cold, the same with her emotions. "I'm popular now Castiel and I've tried so hard to get them to like you but they just won't and I'm out of options to fix it,"

"Are you saying you'd rather be popular than... Then be my friend?" The blue-eyed friend questioned tears welling up in his eyes.

"Castiel I-"

"Anwser the question," He all in but growled becoming angry.

"Look I really don't know what I want," She mumbled tears welling up in her eyes as well. "Please, I want both just please let me be popular at school and us be friends outside of school and make this work please I can't lose you Cassy,"

"You've been treating me like shit at school to become popular?" He questioned stunned by her own words and though he didn't want to believe it... It actually made sense.

"Please... Please just let me fix this," She pleaded tear-filled eyes meeting his. "I will fix this I promise," And although his whole body told him not to give her a second chance he simply couldn't say no to his best friend... No matter how many times she treated him like trash.

"Alright... Alright, I'll let you fix this," He mumbled as she jumped into his arms wrapping him in a hug.

"Thank you so much," She whispered into his shoulder voice muffled by the fabric of his shirt. "I won't let you down... I never have," And even if her words turned out to be nothing less of a lie the raven-haired friend couldn't help yet to wrap her in a firm grip never wanting to let her go.

Although she had chosen popularity over him their friendship still remained and that's all that mattered to him. Castiel looking back on it now couldn't help yet to feel disgusted with the way he let Y/N treat him after that... With the way that she chooses others over him.

Nonetheless, this surely wouldn't be their last fight, as the next one had to the ending point... Not only for their fights yet their relationship as well.
