Chapter 10

MAHGIE'S POV:

"Maggie, will you be my girlfriend" Louis asked me.

I was so shocked at these words. I was speechless. Sense when did he like me?! I didn't know how to reply to this. I didn't want to. I never had liked Louis, yeah sure as a friend, but not like that! Plus I thought I was starting to like Niall. Although now that I thought about Louis was a really awesome friend, and he wasn't actually that bad looking.

"Um, Louis.." I paused. "I'm sorry.." he cut me off.

"You can think about it, I don't want you to rush into things you're not sure of" he told me. I seriously had the best friend ever!

The rest of the night we watched all of the "Cheaper by the dozen." Yeah I know it sounds childish, but they were always our favorite movies growing up. We had watched them so many times over the last couple years, we could recite every word. We had eaten so much popcorn I thought I was going to throw up. We were having such a fun time.

"You know I'm glad we have things normal again, I thought I was losing my best friend, after what happened on the phone" I told him laying my head on his shoulder.

"I'm glad too" he said kissing my hair. After a while of silence he spoke "I really am sorry, I over reacted big time"

"I forgive you" I told him. "But really why did you get so upset?"

"I told you. I was jealous, you were replacing me with him" he told me.

"Well, Niall is my friend, Lou, you are going to have to deal with us hanging out" I told him, hoping he would understand.

"I relies that now. I am just being protective of you, that's all." He told me.

"Thanks" I told him with a smile on my face. "You better be leaving soon, I want to go to bed!" I told him playfully punching his arm.

"Oh come on its not that late, stop being old!' he laughed a little.

"Louis! Its two o'clock in the morning!" I looked at him, to see if he was being serious. "Now get out of my house!" I told him pushing him off my couch and too the door.

"I had fun, tonight. I miss being able to hang out with you, like old times" he said.

"I miss it too" I said giving him a hug.

The hug was a little awkward now that he told me he liked me. But it was still the same hugs we gave each other over the past few years.

He told me goodnight and left. I brushed my teeth again, sense I had eaten, and jumped in bed. I laid in bed for a little while thinking. Niall was still in my head. I also didn't know what I was going to say to Louis. I didn't like him like that. He was just my best friend. Nothing more, but maybe if I dated him it wouldn't be that bad.

Before I fell asleep I knew exactly what I was going to do. I wasn't going to date Louis. But I wasn't going to tell him. I was going to somehow avoid it and hope he forgets about it.

NIALL'S POV:

I finally got myself together and went out to the living room. All the boys were asleep but Liam, he was working on a speech, of some sort on his laptop.

"Hey Nia-" He cut off after he saw my blood shot eyes. He knew I had been crying. "What's wrong?" he asked with concern, as he put down his laptop.

"Nothing just got in a little fight with Louis" I told him. "Speaking of Louis, is he already off to bed?"

"No he went to Maggie's a couple hours ago" he told me. What?! When did he go to her house?! I got instantly mad and jealousy filled up inside of me.

"Why did he go over there?" I asked a little harshly.

"I'm not sure, he just told me he was heading over and then he left" he told me.

I didn't like this. Why would he go over there? I wanted to drive over and just punch him in the face, but something inside of me held me back. It was almost two thirty in the morning and I was getting worried. Liam had fallen asleep; I decided I was going to go over. When I picked up the keys on the counter, Louis came through the door.

"Hey Niall" he told me. Ugh...why was he speaking to me so nicely? I thought he was mad at me?

"What were you doing over at her house?" I couldn't help it, I need to know.

"Chill bro. I went over to fix things between us" he told me.

"And how'd that go?" I asked him.

"Back to best friends" he told me with a smile on his face.

I didn't even know why I was getting so worried. Louis was acting weird though. He wasn't being mean to me. He just told me a few hours ago, that Maggie was his, and acted like he hated me, now he is treating me like his friends again.

"Look Niall, I'm sorry, I was being a jerk. Can we just go back to being buds?" he asked me. Woah! Did he just say he was sorry?!

"Um.. Yeah sure.." I said. I was so confused..

LOUIS'S POV:

I knew if I could "fake" fix things between me and Niall, he would fall for it and then think he could have Maggie. Easily I could get her into my arms, and make him so jealous. I knew she was going to say yes to me anyway, I just had to wait.

"Um.. Yeah sure.." Niall told me.

I could tell he was confused. But I knew this way, I could easily have her to myself. I did ask her to be my girlfriend first, anyway. Niall was going to be torn once me and Maggie started dating. And I couldn't wait to see his heart shatter, as I rubbed it all in his face!
