Chapter 17

Well me and Louis were back to being friends again. I just didn't know how long all this would last.

Louis did promise he wouldn't say or do anything to come in-between me and Niall, but I was still worried. I didn't know if he could really do it.

Me and Niall sat out on my back porch watching the stars, my head buried into his chest and his arms wrapped around me, making me feel safe.

"I love to watch the stars, especially with you" he told me pulling me closer. I looked up at him and smiled.

He pulled me up so I could see his face, looking me in the eyes. His eyes were like the blue ocean. They were beautiful, I could stare into them forever.

After a while of just staring into each other's eyes, he started leaning closer to me. I started leaning in too. Before I knew it our lips met and I felt sparks fly, I didn't want to pull away!

Our first kiss, and it was so amazing!

We started to pull away after a few seconds. I forced my eyes open and he was smiling at me with that smile that made my heart feel so warm. I flashed a huge smile at him.

Then his face became serious. His perfect blue eyes staring into mine. "I love you" he told me.

"I love you too" I replied back at him. A smile grew wide across his face and he picked me up and spun me around and kissed me. I could feel him smiling through the kiss, as well was I.

I really did love him. I loved him allot, I was afraid to admit it, because I was so afraid he didn't love me back. But now I knew he did. And I couldn't be happier.

The night went on and we talked and talked, watching the stars.

"I need to tell you something" I told him. His facial expression instantly changed.

"I met up with Louis" he pulled me out of his chest and he looked me in the eyes

"You did?" he asked not know what was coming next.

"Yes, and we are back to friends again" I told him. His eyes were looking deep into mine, with confusion. I couldn't read his expression. He wasn't mad, maybe he was worried?

"Maggie, I don't want you hanging around him. He has already hurt you two times, I don't want to see you shattered again" He took my hand.

"Niall, I know you are worried but we are best friends. We can't just throw away our friendship like that" I told him calmly.

"Well you kind of can, because he already did that! But you took him back" He told me. Those words stung. I couldn't believe he would say that. I looked at him with disbelief, tears began to rise in my eyes, once again, as they have so many times over these last couple months. I got up and started running in the woods.

I didn't get too far till Niall stopped me.

"Look at me" he told me. I refused I kept my hands over my face, covering my tears.

"Look at me" he told me again in a gentle voice. He lifted my head and made me look him in the eyes.

"I'm sorry. I didn't mean it like that. I just am worried he will hurt you again. I care too much about you. I want to protect you. I understand you two have been friends for a long time, and I'm not going to stop you from your decision. I just want you to be aware, that he may do something again."

I started crying harder. He really did love me. He wanted to protect me and keep my heart from anymore ache. He brought me into a hug.

"Shhh.. its ok" he whispered in my ear, running his hands through my hair.

I trusted Lou, he promised me he wouldn't do anything, but Niall was right, he has broken me twice already. I just couldn't throw our friendship away, it was too much. Even if I knew it was the right thing to do, I just wouldn't have it in me, to do such a thing.

"I promise you I won't him hurt you another time." He told me rubbing my back. "He won't hurt my baby"
