Chapter 13

As I got up the next morning, Kelsey was already up making us some pancakes.

I chuckled a little, she was always the cook of our friendship, and I was always the person who ate all the food. I got up and walked into the kitchen.

"Morning, slept in late. Have a nice sleep I'm guessing?" she asked laughing a bit, as she put some chocolate chips in the pancake mix.

"Sure did. Thanks for cooking some pancakes for us" I told her.

"Anytime, ya know" she told me as she placed some on a plate and passed me the butter.

"So umm" I trailed off, "Niall told me meet him at the little diner downtown at two" I stopped to look up at her. She had a little grin on her face.

"Oh I see! And what for?" she asked looking at me wiggling her eyebrows.

"He never told, what do you think?" I asked her, I really had no clue why.

"I think it's a date" she said nudging my arm.

"Kelsey, he doesn't like me like that." I told her. I knew it was true, although I wish it wasn't.

"Oh come on! I see the way he looks at you, it's so obvious" she told me sitting down to eat her pancakes.

"We are just friends.." I trailed off taking a bit of my pancake.

"What are you going to wear?" she asked me with a big smile.

I groaned "I really don't know" I hated picking out an outfit, it was so difficult!

"Go take a shower and come back out with what you want to wear and I will tell you if I approve" she told me with a wink, as she pushed me out of my seat.

"But I'm not even done eating" I told her as I finished chewing.

"You can finish eating at two, now go!" she told me.

I looked at her with a "really" face, and walked to the bathroom.

I took a quick shower and went straight to my closet.

I decided I would wear a strapless top that had navy blue, white, and tan little flowers, I put on a white skirt with flowery indentions to somewhat match the top with a bohemian belt and a tan, knitted long sleeve sweater coat. I picked some matching shoes and to top it all off, a gold heart necklace Louis had given me.

I started blow drying my hair, I applied my makeup, and walked out to the living room to see if Kelsey approved with what I picked.

She wasn't in there so I figured she went out for a walk or something. I decided to sit down and just fiddle around on my phone till she came back.

A hour passed and she still hadn't come back yet, I called her phone and no answer. I was starting to wonder where she had gone.

Two hours had passed now and I needed to leave soon, so I grabbed my stuff and was getting ready to leave when Kelsey came through the door.

"Where were you?" I asked curiously "I tried calling you and no answer"

"I was with Louis, he called me, to meet him at the park." She told me walking into the kitchen. She was with Louis? Why? I was kind of got jealous at this. But why?

"He just wanted to chill" she said calmly. Chill? Something was going on. Louis didn't know Kelsey very well, and he never just randomly invited a girl to "chill" with him.

"Oh" I said. "Well I better be going" I told her heading out the door.

"Ok see you when you get back" I guess she was staying at my house?

"Oh and by the way cute outfit" she told me winking. I gave her a faint smile and closed the door behind me.

I got to the diner and I instantly saw Niall he got up and hugged me.

"Wow you look very beautiful" he said as he smiled at me.

"Thank you" I replied back with a smile, as well.

"So what do you want to order"?" he asked.

"I don't know, there is so much to choose from" right then the waiter came up and wanted our order.

Niall ordered and I still didn't know what I wanted.

"Can I order for you?" Niall asked.

"Um yeah sure" I said. That was odd I have never had anybody ask to order something for me. He ordered the rest and the waiter left.

"I ordered you the chicken poètiö, you will love it, it's the best!" he told me.

"Thanks" he placed his hands on mine from across the table. Then his expression became serious.

"So um Maggie" he cut off. "I know this might sound totally crazy but um.." he trailed off and looked down at the table "I invited you here so I could ask you something.." he stopped again for a moment and then spit out his words "would you be my girlfriend" his blue eyes were now staring into my green ones.

I didn't know what to say. I mean I know I liked him like that, but I really haven't known him that long. I didn't think he felt that way about me either. It was all so sudden.

"Niall" I trailed off. His face became sad and he looked back down at the table. "I would love to be your girlfriend" I told him with a huge smile.

His face instantly lit up like a Christmas tree. He jumped up and gave me a huge hug spinning me around.

"I thought you were going to turn me down" he whispered in my ear.

"How could I turn down such a cute Irish boy, like you" I pulled out of the hug so I could see his face. He instantly pulled me back in and spun me around one more time.

We sat back down at the table and ate our food. Niall was right I did love this chicken stuff he got me! After we were done we walked to the park hand in hand. We talked for hours.

"I really liked you, and I wanted to ask you out but I was too scared you would say no" he looked at the ground.

"Well I'm glad you did asked me, because I really liked you too" I told him as I looked into his eyes.

I decided I better get back, and make sure Kelsey didn't completely destroy my house.

As we walked back to our cars he told me what a amazing time he had and how this was going to be the start to a lovely relationship. He gave me a hug, I got in my car and headed home. I couldn't stop smiling.

I got home and I yelled "HE ASKED ME TO BE HIS GIRLFRIEND" at Kelsey, I was so excited! Her face instantly became upset. Was she mad that he asked me to be his girlfriend?

"Are you mad, that he did?" I asked her.

"No, it's just.....Louis" she trailed off. Oh crap! I forgot about the whole Louis thing.

"But he should understand that I don't like him like that" I told her calmly. He should I mean, after all we are just friends and I really liked Niall.

"Maggie, he was going to re ask you out tomorrow" she looked at me seriously. Great...what was going to happen now!
