Chapter 23

I woke up to a annoying beeping coming from Niall's bed side. It was his heart monitor.

"Niall?" I asked as I placed my hand on his face. He wasn't waking up. "Niall!" I screamed at him. Nothing. "Somebody help!" I yelled out the door. My heart was racing, I was so scared, I had no idea what was going to happen next.

The doctors stormed into the room looking terrified "Oh no" one whispered to the other.

They ran to his bed side tapping away on the monitor, unplugging tubes and inserting more all over his body. He just laid there, hopelessly, not able to wake.

I was scared for dear life, for him, for me, for us. They started rolling his bed out of the room.

"What... Where are you taking him?" I screamed through the tears. They just ignored me, and kept running down the hall, pushing his hospital bed.

"Niall!" I screamed running after them, but was soon stopped as two nurses grabbed me, holding me back.

I fought, kicking and screaming trying to get out of their grip, but I couldn't get free. "Niall!" I yelled one last time as I saw them take him into a room shutting the door quickly behind them.

I fell to the ground sobbing. I couldn't believe this. Because of me he could have a severe condition.

"Are you a family member of Niall Horan?" a young man asked me as he knelt down to me and put his hand on my shoulder.

"N..no but I am his girlfriend" I said whipping my cheeks.

"I am teribally sorry, but he had a rare condition, and he didn't make it." he told me calmly.

"He died?! How could you let this happen?! You're a doctor, you are suppose to save him!" I yelled at him with my tears streaming down my face.

I ran to the room they took him in, and collapsed on the floor sobbing my heart out. Until I was wrapped into someone's arms tightly. My eyes flickered open as I had tears everywhere.

"Maggie" he said, as he was swaying us back and forth in a tight hug.

"Niall" I said as I buried my face into him.

"Shh.. Everything is going to be ok. It was just a nightmare" he told me trying to calm me down. But my emotions were still all in that dream.

"You died!" I yelled at him through my tears.

"Look at me" he told me, pulling my face up "I am here, I will never leave, I promise. I love you"

"You are in here because of me! How could you love me?!" I yelled at him.

"Maggie.. Shhh..." he said pulling me back into his chest.

"You know I love you right?" I asked him, as my tears finally started decreasing.

"I know baby" he said bringing me into his chest once again.
