Dave had gone to Miami for a few days to do a few shows and interviews. I had yet to tell him the news.

The first thing I did when he left was go to the doctor and tell them my situation. I was honest about how I smoked bud daily and drank every weekend and the doctor told me as long i stopped immediately, I should be fine. It was still early in the pregnancy so I didn't have to worry so much and I had the option for abortion.

Just the thought of abortion kind of bothered me. But at the same time Dave and I were kinda just going through the motions.

Since those pictures, I hadn't felt the same about him. And since his baby moms was so tight at Dave, I hadn't even seen Kairi. She was what held us together at times.

I knew I couldn't decide then and there so I told the doctor I'd be back tomorrow with a decision on if I wanted to keep the baby or start prenatal vitamins and care. 

I decided to go to the club and meet up with Mel while she restocked the bar. I knew I needed to talk to someone and she was always real with me.

"Lani! Oh my gosh" Mel said as she ran up to hug me.

"Ive missed you so much. Shit aint the same with you. How you been mamas?" She asked.

"Alright. I finally graduated anddd… I live with 'him' now" I said.

"Aw shit congrats baby girl. You can finally start your career. I knew you'd make it. And awwww. Look at you settling down. You look damn good too." Mel replied.

We sat at the bar and I told her everything. 

"Girl…. Fuck that nigga. Hes always gonna run back to his baby moms. He has no choice but to fuck with that bitch for life. As long as they have a baby…. She gonna be a problem. And if she finds out you and Dave have a kid on the way…. Bitchhhhh your life is gonna be a living hell. I say, keep the baby and ditch the man. You can stay with me" Mel said. 

"Facts, but I love that man and honestly if I leave, I don't wanna raise a baby alone so that's a whole dub. I might just get an abortion and not tell him" I replied.

"Thats low key fucked up but I feel you on that. I can't tell you what to do with your body, but maybe just think about it. If you love him then you owe him the truth. That's his baby too" Mel said. 

"You're right. I just wish I had a sign" I said.

"Well fuck all that shit for tonight. Your man out of town, the boss on vacation, and you look good, just stay and get a bag." Mel replied. 

"You're right. Fuck it. Ima kick it here. I don't know about stripping though" I said. 

"Well I have an extra bartender outfit. I know you hate that matching twin shit but you can hang out behind the bar, shake ya ass a lil, make a drink or two and get a couple of dollars" Mel said.

"Alright. I'll do it. I aint got nothing else going on" I replied. 

Mel and I hung out at the bar and spent the afternoon catching up. When it was finally the evening, I put on my outfit and gave Mel a hand. 

"You look so cute…. Lets take a flick for the gram" Mel said.

We held up our bottles and our girl Trina took the picture for us….

"Girl why you covering your damn stomach. Aint no one knows" Mel said while sending me the pic.

I had just posted it up on instagram when I got a text from Dave. He sent me a picture and a little message….

"I miss you baby. I cant wait to hold you in my arms"

I immediately went to delete the photo I put up but it was too late, he saw it.

In less than a minute Dave was facetiming me. I quickly answered and walked to the bathroom.

"What the fuck Lani…. Seriously. Why the fuck are you back at the club" Dave yelled.

"Im just bartending David…. Relax." I replied.

I was starting to get tired of his controlling behavior.

"Chill with that David shit. You don't belong in no club. Take ya ass home." Dave said 

"Nah nigga. I'm not doing anything wrong. Im not even drinking. Im literally just serving drinks." I replied. 

Dave made a face of anger at me and i rolled my eyes at him.

"You seem to have a lil attitude lately and I aint with the shits. I told you to take ya ass home. My shorty don't belong in no strip club dancing or catering to niggas." He replied.

"Dave I'm tired of you telling me what to do. I'll go home when the evening is done." I replied. 

"Well you got a three day break from me tellin you what to do if you just act right" he said.

"I think we need more than a three day break Dave…. I'm gonna stay at Mels for a while." I said.

"What?" He asked.

"I'm staying at Mel's. Since that shit with Kairi's mom, things ain't been the same. And right now I need some space" I answered.

"Babe I thought we was past that shit. I don't even really fuck with her no more since then. Her sister come and takes Kairi upstairs ..." Dave said.

"I'm pregnant" I said cutting him off. 

Dave's face dropped.

"Look I gotta go." I said while hanging up the call.

My heart was racing a thousand miles per hour. I couldn't believe I told Dave I was pregnant over facetime.

I turned my phone off and told Mel what happened. After work we went to Dave's so I could get a couple of things and we headed to her place.

We made brownies, talked more about my situation and Mel went off to bed.

I turned on my phone and saw 70 texts from Dave. I closed them all and laid down. I really had a lot to think about and soon...
