Chloe's Point of View
"There is more to being a Power Ranger than mastering a sword. You must also learn to use your inherited Samurai Symbols."
Ji is talking to us while we are practicing our Samurai Symbols, writing them out on parchment paper.
I am practicing my fire symbol; I have already mastered all my symbols already but as Ji always puts it, it's always good to train.
I conclude drawing my symbol on the parchment and it lights up, fire becoming my symbol.
Ji looks at me and smiles. He places a hand on my shoulder, showing how proud he is of me. I smile back.
"When you run out to fight a battle," I say dropping my paint brush and walking to see how my team is doing, "You can not only rely on your sword. You must use the symbols you have inherited, as Ji has said before, to your advantage."
First I look at the symbol Mia draws on her paper. She draws the symbol for wind and it couldn't of been drawn any better.
Once she finishes her final stroke, a gush of wind blows from the paper and has Mia's hair fly behind her.
"Wind. Perfect job Mia." I say plainly.
When I speak to my Rangers, I do not talk with a lot of enthusiasm. I speak sorta...monotone you could say. I hope they understand the messages I try to convey with the way I speak to them.
It seems like Mia does understand as she smiles at me and draws her symbol again, attempting to improve her previous strokes.
Next I move onto Emily. It seems she is struggling a little bit with her symbols but she isn't asking for help; I admire that about her. She may be having a tough time with what she is doing but she is still trying her best.
I look over her shoulder and adjust her hand, helping her complete the final stroke of her rock symbol. She looks at me and smiles.
As she removes her brush from the paper, a huge rock falls the the ground. It hits my foot but I kick it up, (like a soccer ball) having it put in the air for me to catch. I catch the rock and place it on the side.
All my Rangers look at me in pure shook. Emily however has an embarrassed look on her face.
"Sorry Chloe!" She says.
"That's quite alright Emily." I say. I give her a nod and continue walking.
Kevin is beside Emily. He is drawing his water symbol.
Kevin is my Ranger to always keep going until he can't go any longer.
Under his feet sits a large puddle of water. Now that I realize, his shirt is soaked.
I see there is a thick wad of used paper sitting at the top of Kevin's easel. He puts his brush to his paper, attempting to draw his water symbol for what seems like the 80th time, but I stop him.
"It seems like you've practiced your water symbols enough Kevin." He chuckles softly. "Why don't you take a break and get changed into some dry cloths?"
"Alright Chloe." He places his brush on the stand and turns to go into the Shiba house.
I pull out my Morpher. I point it towards the puddle of water.
"Symbol Power..." I say. "Dry."
The puddle of water vanishes.
Again, the look of my Rangers are in pure shook.
