Chapter Ten

Chloe's Point of View

I got home a little while ago. I'm currently laying in my bed, resting and thinking about everything that just happened.

"Deker is the name, I'm searching for the ultimate duel." The man replies. "The duel you and I will have."...

"It must be you."

"But why?"

"You are the strongest Red Ranger in all of history. You are the ultimate warrior. You are just like me. Both warped and twisted-"

"I am nothing like you!"

"You are."...

"You will give me the ultimate duel." Deker tells me, slamming his fist on the ground. "Whether you like it or not..."

I am pulled out of my thoughts by my door opening. There stands Ji with a tray of tea and cups.

"May I sit?" He asks, motioning to my bed.

I nod. Ji places the tray on my bedside table and pours me a cup. He hands it to me and I nod my head in thanks.

"What happened today Chloe?" My mentor asks me.

"My team didn't tell you?" I ask him. Ji doesn't respond. I sigh.

"We went to the Tengen Gate as planned. Everything was fine until we drank some tea. Octoroo poisoned it, hoping I would drink it and he got his wish. I was the only one who drank it thankfully. Anyways, he hoped I'd drink it so he could get the Sealing Symbol out of me."

"The Sealing Symbol?" Ji asks me, shocked.

"Yes." I begin to stress. "Ji, fucking Xandred knows about the Symbol and expects me to know it. He is so desperate he sends his fucking squid to poison me!"

"Chloe, I need you to calm down, oka-"

"How can I fucking calm down when fucking Xandred is getting stronger!? He fucking almost killed my team Ji!" I take a deep breath and realize what I just did. "J-Ji I am so sorry-"

He pulls me into a hug. I begin crying. "I'm scared Ji! S-sometime s-soon the team if g-going to learn about the Sealing Symbol and expect me know it but I don't Ji. I don't fucking know it!" I begin bawling. Ji rubs his hand up and down my back.

"It's alright Chloe. And Xandred is not becoming stronger. His Nialock? Yes. But him? No Chloe. You don't need to push everything upon yourself, alright?"

I nod.

"I'm gonna go get Jayden, okay?" I nod again. With that, Ji gets up and goes to get Jayden.

Jayden's Point of View

I get Chloe home and she is resting. Ji has just prepared some tea for Chloe and he just left to go see her. I'm sitting in the living room with the team, my head tilted to the floor.

"Are you okay Jayden?" Mia asks me.

I look up. "Huh? Yeah. I'm fine. Just thinking."

"Chloe's gonna be alright Jayden." Emily reassures me. "She is the strongest person we know."

"I know Emily, I just can't help but worry about her, you know?"

"Of course Jayden." Kevin says. "She's your girlfriend. We aren't thinking any less."
