Chloe's Point of View

After having tea and dealing with smirks from Ji, I ask to have a talk alone with my mentor. Jay happily kisses me goodbye and he to goes do something, mostly likely hang with the team or get some rest.

"Is everything alright Shiba?" Ji asks me as we sit outside.

"Everything is fine Ji." I tell him. "I need to talk to you about Jayden."

"What about him?"

I sigh. "Our tattoos have been hurting us."

"Jayden mentioned to me earlier that his was hurting, yes." Ji says. "But there is more to that."

I nod. "Mine began hurting me when the team and I found the Light Zord. It burned like I was being stung by a million bees, then a light shown out from my clothes."

"What?" Ji asks me, shocked.

"What's weirder is that there is a burn mark of my Symbol on Jayden's shirt."

I use my Symbol Power and show Ji the memory of Jay's shirt.

"This does not make any sense." He tells me when the memory falls.

"I know." I say. "What could it be?"

"Soulmates." Ji says simply. "That is the only thing I can think of."

"But soulmates aren't real." I say. "I mean, they are because I have my soulmate, but it's just a saying."

I see Ji's face. "Isn't it?"

"It mustn't be if this is happening." My mentor says. "Are your tattoos still hurting?"

I blush madly and Ji nods with a laugh.

"No need to answer." He tells me.

"Ji, it's not like that!" I say.

"I think it is!"

"Ji!"

He stands up and goes inside, laughing as he goes.

"JI!"

Jayden's Point of View

The next morning, Chloe and I wake up early to go on a run. I was hesitant about it because she's still very injured, but what can I say? I can't say no to my Baby Girl!

After our run, we eat more of a breakfast than we did before we left then we hop in the shower, make out for a little bit, then get dressed and go out with the team.

Team hangouts aren't something we have done in a while. With Chloe being off training, the majority of her time was spent with me. We still hung with the team, just rarely. It feels really great to be out with them this morning.

When we return to the Shiba House, my hand in Chloe's we find Ji in the garden, picking tomatoes.

"Hey guys." He greets us. "How did it go?"

He's talking about our search of the city. Every little while, we would all go around, making sure everyone is okay and safe and there isn't anything bad going on.

"It was good." Chloe says with a smile.

Suddenly, I notice the slight change in my girlfriend's demeanor.

She's sensing something.

Chloe looks to the door and she sees it open.

"Did you leave the door open?" Chloe asks our mentor.
