Chloe's Point of View

After kissing for a little bit, Jayden falls asleep.

Don't worry, it isn't like he just fell asleep in the middle of our make-out session, but he's super tired so I let him sleep.

The only way he went to sleep was because I told him I would be going to sleep as well.

Okay, so maybe I didn't tell the truth...

So many thoughts are still in my head after what happened! I saw my father after fourteen years, learnt once I defeat Master Xandred with my team we'll get him back for good, and Jayden got my Samurai Symbol tattoo (something I still can't believe!). I can't sleep, no matter how much I want to.

With that being said, I carefully get out of Jayden's arms, giving him a kiss on the forehead before leaving the room. I leave my Morpher behind of course, just in case Jay wakes up.

Walking quietly to the kitchen to get a glass of water, I'm not surprised when I see Ji sitting at the island, not doubt waiting for me.

"Not tired?" My mentor asks me quietly once he sees me, smiling and waving me over to him.

"No, not really." I answer, opening my arms and taking him in a hug.

Ji holds my close, enjoying my embrace while I enjoy his.

"What has you from sleep?" Ji asks me once we pull away from our hug.

"So much." I tell him. "It's fifty-fifty on two things."

"Oh?" Ji asks me, taking two glasses from the cupboard and the water from the fridge, filling them both and passing one to me. I nod my head in thanks.

"Yeah." I say. "Dad and Jayden."

"Tell me about your father first." Ji tells me.

I nod. "I'm just so happy. I would've been totally alright with just seeing him after so long, but after learning I can get him back once my team and I defeat Xandred, it makes it so much better."

"But why is that keeping you from sleeping?" Ji asks me.

"I think you and I are not asleep for the same reason Ji." I tell my mentor.

He simply smirks.

"To answer your question," I begin. "I ask you one. Why are you awake?"

"I saw my best friend and student after fourteen years." Ji tells me. "I waited fourteen years for the day where he could come back, and I could see him, at least for a little while."

My face falls as I think Ji didn't get to speak much to my father. I took most of the time he was here to myself.

My mentor sees the look in my eyes.

"Do not feel bad Shiba." He tells me. "The moment was planned from since you were born for your father to come back on your eighteenth birthday, and for you to talk to him, connect with him after so long."

"I feel selfish." I say.

"Don't." Ji tells me simply. "All I wanted was for you to see Michael again, also to learn the truth."

"Yeah, about that." I start again. "Did you always know after I defeat Xandred Dad will come back?"

Ji nods.

"Dad said the reason I don't learn the Sealing Symbol was because if I were to learn it, I would have mastered it then when I use it on Xandred, I would succeed, but also seal Dad away in the process. Is that true?"
