Chapter Seventeen

"Have a good night guys."

"You too." Emily says for the team.

With that Chloe and I walk outside and find Ji standing in front of the Ranger SUV.

"Come to see us off?" Chloe asks, moving to hug Ji.

"Yes, as always." He says, hugging back. "How are you feeling?"

"Pretty good. I am definitely excited to see Elizabeth." Chloe says, smiling at the mention of my mom's name.

"Well you wouldn't want to keep her waiting, do you?" Ji turns to me. "Make sure she has fun."

"Of course I will Ji. I always do."

"I know you do." He opens the door for us both. "Have a good night you too."

"You as well Ji." Chloe kisses his cheek and goes inside.

I smile at Ji and go inside as well. He closes the door and waves at us as we drive away.

Chloe's Point of View

"I feel like I've asked you this a million times today, but are you excited?" My incredible boyfriend asks me.

Jayden and I are in the Ranger SUV, me once again lying in his chest as we are being driven to Elegantees. 

"I am incredibly excited." I say. I looking up at him and run my fingers through his hair. "You look so handsome."

"Well Baby Girl, you look so beautiful."

I blush a light red and melt more into Jayden's embrace. 

I know tonight is going to be a great night, getting to see Elizabeth after so long, but I can't help but feel the same feeling I felt back at the salon. Something bad is going to happen tonight...

I think Jay notices me thinking because her brushes his hand over my forehead, something he does when he wants to calm me.

"What's on your mind My Baby?" Jayden asks me softly.

"It's nothing really." I say shrugging. "I just feel like something's going to happen tonight."

"Something bad?" Jay asks me confused.

"Yeah..."

"Chloe My Love, everything is going to be fine. Maybe it's your anxiety talking to you?" 

I think. "It probably is." 

I let out a laugh. "I'm overthinking everything."

"Tonight is going to be amazing C." Jayden tells me, moving his hand to my cheek and brushing his thumb over the skin.

"Promise?" I ask playfully.

"Je promets." He answers with a small smirk.

I roll my eyes playfully and hug him tight.

We get to the restaurant and I stop at the door. I am no longer worrying about my fear of something bad happening, but rather just now realizing how nervous I am. Just like before, Jay senses something is wrong.

"A little nervous?" He asks knowingly.

I nod rapidly. "Yup."

"Hey." Jayden takes his hands in mine and gives them a little squeeze. "Everything will be fine. And if anything," He reaches into his bag and pulls out the case that holds my needle and 'panic attack fluid'. "I have this. You're going to be okay."
