Diana sat down at the desk in front of her window and grabbed a piece of paper. Before she started writing, she held the pen in her hand and contemplated her daughter who slept peacefully in her crib. Megan had been born two months ago after a very complicated labor. Diana had feared for her life while giving birth. It took infinite hours for Megan to see the light in real world. The tiny little girl was sleeping on her back, one arm above her little head. The little hair she had was blond, bright blond and she had the biggest and brightest blue eyes Diana had ever seen. To say the least, Megan had nothing of Jack, but she was too little to tell. Babies change a lot while growing up and she was just two months old. Megan looked like Diana, so the family says.

Diana sank the tip of the pen in the ink and then looked out at the window, unsure of she should write to him or not. He hadn't answered her letter when she wrote to him on her wedding night, but in the end she asked him not to. But since then, they have met and talked and it had been a few days since she had been thinking about doing so. The rain was falling heavily outside and the wind was blowing strong. The trees made crazy noises and the garden was darker than ever. The scenery was scary and she worried Jack was not yet home. He had gone to his parents to talk about business. She looked back at the piece of paper and wrote the first word.

"James,"

She stopped there, thinking again of the words she wanted to tell him. They haven't seen each other again since that time in London but her heart bled for him and she had shed some tears when she was alone. Diana focused on the letter and began to write it. There was so much she wanted to tell him but so little she could say in that piece of paper, for she didn't know who else could read her words.

"James,

I know I shouldn't be writing to you. I am afraid I am breaking my wedding vows and the promises I made before God, but I have to write you. I have to find a way to contact you, to feel you closer.

Ever since our encounter in London, that I have been more broken than ever. My life is good, great I dare to say but not great enough to erase what I feel for you. I told you this was soul's love and I was not mistaken.

I love you James. I love you with all my heart and with all my soul and I cannot forget you by any means. Why? Why did you have to forsake me when I most needed you? Why did we have to sacrifice ourselves if what we are living is not greater than our love?

Do you still love me? Please, answer me honestly, no matter what your final answer is. At least comfort me with your words since I cannot hear your voice or see you.

On the matter that took me to your house in London, everything is quieter now, but please do not come here, not so soon.

I miss you dearly. I miss you more than anything. There is not one day that I don't think about you... my love... my life.

I love you and I always will.

Yours,

Diana.

PS: My baby daughter is two months old and I named her Megan. She's the most beautiful baby I have ever seen. James, you should see her..."

Diana found an envelope and put her letter inside, then she wrote down Angela's address but put James name on it instead of hers. She wanted that letter to be delivered right on his hands. Then, she hid it inside a book for she would only been able to post it the next morning.

After writing the letter to James, she sat by her daughter's crib just watching her. She had spent many hours doing that and wondering quite often how she had made such a perfect human being. She had been right in thinking Jack would be a wonderful father. Jack was crazy for Megan and though a man didn't share baby's duties, Jack loved to take care of the baby and even sing to her while putting her to sleep. Those details warmed her heart up, it melted her. When watching him with her she often remember how she would never have that with James, but Megan reminded her of James too much...
