Megan was impatient looking at the window every five seconds and Diana was sat in a swigging chair balancing herself back and forward. It had been quite some time since she had stopped listening to Megan, she was lost in her thoughts. Lost in her devastating feelings and events from the previous night.

There was not a trace of guilt in her, a tiny bit of remorse, but that was all. She felt strong and sure of the decision she had taken. On the contrary to what she was supposed to be feeling, she wanted to see James again. She wanted to feel his cold touch again, to have his cold lips kissing hers. She wanted to hear his deep voice in her hear, his cries of pleasure while she touched him. And then... when she was aching for his touch desperately, her daughter's scream yanked her from her daydream.

"Papa!" Megan began to run outside. "Papa!" The girl screamed.

Diana got up and wrapped her cloak around her. "It's cold outside Megan!" She yelled hoping her five-year-old would remember to put on her coat before opening the door.

Megan had been too fast. She was already outside wrapped around Jack's embrace as she loved so much.

Jack kissed his little girl's cheek and then looked ahead. Diana smiled at him.

"Did you behave?" He asked then holding Megan's hand.

"Yes." She answered.

"Did she?" He asked with a tender smile as he approached his wife. His eyes glittered looking into Diana's and that second, she felt a little ashamed for having betrayed such love, but he had also failed.

"Yes." She answered.

Jack bent over her and kissed her lips softly. "I told you this trip would be fast."

"But you know how impatient she becomes." Diana answered avoiding his gaze a little bit. "Are you hungry Jack? We already had lunch."

"No. I am fine. I just need to go to my parents, you know, I have some urgent papers to deliver to my father."

"I want to go!" Megan said immediately.

"Papa needs to take care of grown up things." Diana tried to explain to her.

"No Di..." Jack shook his head. "She can come with me. My mother will love to see her. You can come too..." He asked.

For a silent minute, she just stared at him thinking about his offer but then she had another idea and that would be a great opportunity. Jack would take long in his parent's and she was aching to see James.

"No Jack..." She refused. "I don't feel like going there today but Megan can go if it doesn't disturb you."

"Not at all." He kissed her forehead. "But first I'd like to have bath and change clothes."

"Of course." Diana nodded. "I am going to ask someone to prepare everything for you."

"Do you want to keep me company?" He said suggestively but Diana didn't want to erase James off her body.

"I must have Megan ready Jack." She said.

"Alright." He nodded with his wonderful smile, then turned around and began to go upstairs.

Diana stayed still watching him, feeling her heart crack at every step he took. It wasn't remorse, for she knew she would have done it again if she had the chance. Maybe guilt, guilt now that she had set her eyes on the man that loved her beyond everything, a man who didn't deserve her betrayal. She bent her head down and looked at the floor when she could no longer see him, a long deep breath escaped her chest, but she loved James...she loved him with an almighty power she couldn't explain. She loved him beyond everything. She could kill and die for him and what she had done it had been for love. Just as Jack did when intercepting their letters, that had been love too. Diana resented him, she still wanted to tell him a thing or two, but James was right, they needed him.
