Three weeks later.

"Mama..." Megan run to her and held tight against her neck.

Diana kissed her cheek and inhaled her perfume. She had missed her little girl so much. Like promised, James had asked to bring Megan to the castle so Diana could see her.

"You are cold mama..." Megan stated, and Diana gave her a smile. "And I cannot hear your heart..."

Diana got up and held her hand. "Say hello to James." She said. James crouched mesmerized with his child.

Megan approached him and she wrapped her tiny little arms around his neck too and placed a kiss on his cheek. James felt like he was melting in that little girl's arms and kissed her cheek back. Then Megan pulled away and looked in his eyes.

"Mama is like you now..." She said.

James took his hand to her face and caressed it. "You cannot tell that to anyone."

"I know..." Megan breathed. "Let me smell your hair." Megan asked him and he brought her close to him. Megan buried her nose in his hair and inhaled, just like a vampire would. He recognized that sign so well and now Diana did too. Megan pulled away and looked in his face. "I love your smell." Then she looked up at Diana. "Will you have dinner with me mama?"

"Of course, sweetheart." Diana said giving her hand. Megan took it and they began to walk to the huge dining room. Then, Megan stopped and extended her hand at James.

"Come, James!" She said holding his hand and like that they walked holding their daughter's hand for the first-time ever. Diana looked at James to find him with the most tender stare in his eyes, she winked at him and he smiled back at her.

They united at the huge table, the three of them. They shared the food with Megan, and it felt incredibly good to hear her stories and hear her giggles. It was like a dream the three of them sharing that meal, but they knew they had to be careful. One false move would be fatal.

As it was getting late, Megan started to give signs of tiredness and she asked Diana to put her to bed. That was the big difference between them, and the one James was always pointing out. Megan lived during the day and they lived in the night and that would make things almost impossible for them to take care of her. Added to the danger of being discovered.

"Mama..." Megan called as Diana tucked her in. James was sat on the bed also. "Will you let me come here again someday?" James curled his eyebrow as he heard someday... someday sounded strange to his hears. Diana smiled though, still unaware of some signs.

"Sooner than later." Diana answered kissing her girl's forehead.

"Megan... Sweetheart... what do you mean by someday?" James asked.

Megan smiled at him and held his hand in her tiny ones, she sat on the bed and then held onto his neck unexpectedly. "I know you are my papa..." She whispered and the revelation made them quiver. Diana felt like she was going to cry but nothing came out, just the feeling of crying and James ended up holding her close to his body taking the moment in. Diana saw him with his eyes closed, while Megan inhaled his hair one more time. Then she pulled away and said nothing, she came back to lay down and pulled the covers up.

"Someday..." She repeated. James was going to insist, there was something implied in her word, but Diana signaled him to let it go. "Will you?" Megan insisted though.

"Of course,..." He said trying his voice not to tremble, caressing her hair and then kissed her forehead. "I love you, Megan." He said.

"I love you too papa." She answered and Diana felt her world crushing on her shoulders but in a good way. "I love you too mama." She then turned to Diana.
