She woke up with a gasp. Just another random ass nightmare. This one was about zombies.

Through the dim light emerging from a crack in the curtains, she glanced at the three, slumbering giants surrounding her. They were brothers: Po, Dill, and Ranny, and after their parents were tragically murdered, they became attached at the hip. They lived together, even slept together. They slept in a triangular formation—head to feet—on a massive, mattress mat.

They were about as ornery, horny, and hungry as a pack of school boys. She hated them. Okay, maybe she'd admit that she slightly cared about them just a little bit—maybe a lot. Whatever.

She had unwantedly met the fools at a pub. They were drunk and teasing her, jokingly calling her food and such. She could bare it until one of the assholes, Po, licked her. That's when she snapped and told them she was calling the police. The panicked drunks didn't want their dumbass brother to get arrested and separated from them, so they kinda sorta kidnapped her. When they woke up sobered, they realised what they had done, but then it was too late, of course. They didn't really know what to do except to keep her longer.

After awhile, they all kinda forgot that a crime had been committed, and she just lived there now. She could come and go as she pleased, and the giants had offered her an official place in their home. She accepted it, and she instantly became their little sister.

Their noses twitched a little in their sleep, and suddenly they were all awake. They leaned over her, and Ranny sniffed her.

Despite, the new alliance between humans and giants, giants still carried their primal habits, including their ability to smell fear and their cravings for small, living creatures. They probably smelled her nightmare-induced fear. They must have been woken up, unconsciously associating the smell of fear with food. They thought she was food. Those bastards.

          "What's wrong, Lara?" Ranny questioned.

"Nothing." Lara shook her head. "Just a nightmare."

"What was it about?" Dill asked.

          She shrugged. "Zombies 'n' shit."

Like zombies, giants have similarities to humans but still eat humans. Unlike zombies, giants eat people whole. Like zombies, giants are known for eating people while they're still alive. Unlike zombies, giants experience empathy and have a conscience. Like zombies, giants act on hunger and impulse.

Po picked her up and licked her.

          "WHAT THE FUCK?" she hissed.

"Now ye have somethin' else t'fear instead." Po grinned.

"You're a real dick," she grumbled.

          Dill plucked her back up.

          "Bitch!" she snarled.

"Relax. Ye're just sleepin' wit' me tonight, so Po doesn't eat ye." Dill placed her onto his chest. Dill was the mature, responsible one.

Danny smirked. "But I might eat ye."

"I'm moving out tomorrow," she announced.

Randy frowned. "Aww. Don't joke about that, lass."

"Who would I taste then?" Po whined.
