"You're quite brash for such a wee thing," a giant called King Coryn uttered, peering down at the fiery human.

"You're quite a little bitch for such a massive asshole," she held him with a vicious scowl.

"All I did was get you some tea," King Coryn argued.

"In a fucking tiny, fake, plastic tea cup? Who the fuck do you think I am? Barbie?" she snarled.

"I...I just figured it would be easier to drink out of compared to a normal-sized mug, Princess Tani," he mumbled anxiously.

"A NORMAL SIZED MUG?" Princess Tani scoffed, "ARE YOU IMPLYING MY SIZE ISN'T NORMAL? AM I UNNATURAL?"

"No! No! Of course not. It's just the norm- standard size for me, personally." he chuckled nervously.

"Why the fuck do you even have a doll set? Aren't you a grown man?" she challenged.

"My kingdom borders many human kingdom, so I try to accommodate to their needs during diplomatic meetings like these," he explained calmly. He thought he'd finally said something that she couldn't make a comeback to.

"You think this is a diplomatic meeting?" she snorted, "This is slavery, but I don't lay down like a little bitch. Good luck being married to me for the rest of your soon to-be miserable life."

It had been a year since they were married. Neither of them were happy to be wed, but the King of Naakan, Tani's father, had insisted it was the only way to truly connect the two kingdoms in their ultra alliance thingy. From a strategic standpoint, King Coryn understood the idea, and therefore accepted it, but the young Princess Tani was less than accepting.

The first months were nothing short of hell. But after Coryn finally snapped and lost his temper, Tani tuned down her attitude enough for a friendship to grow.

Neither of them were ever going to romantically love each other. After all, he was a giant and she was a human, and they had a thirty year age gap. But they still grew inseparable and developed a type of love that only great friends share.

"Look, you greedy, old bastard, leave some fucking sugar in the god damn jar for me!" Tani huffed, holding out her tiny, fake, plastic tea cup.

"Calm down, bite-sized," he gently flicked the jar, sending a miniscule dollop of sugar down into her tea.

Took you long enough," she grumbled, taking a sip, "It's cold."

"Because you whined about it being too hot for too long!" he exclaimed bitterly.

"Oh shut up, you blundering oaf," she poured her cold tea into his massive cup.

She grabbed his thumb and pulled his hand away from the cup. She wouldn't have been able to move his hand on her own by no circumstances, so he just let her guide his hand.

"Yes, pest?" he sighed as Tani curled herself inside his hand.

"I'm cold," she grumbled, slumping farther into his palm. It was warm from holding the mug.

"Aye," he gently curled his fingers around her, "You're just too small to live here."

Giants liked it cold, so they lived in the cold. Humans were too small to harness enough body heat to live comfortably in these lands.

Coryn felt kinda bad that the whole marriage left her stuck in a world where the climate made t-shirts a joke, everybody unintentionally talked downwards to her, and objects were too big for her to handle on her own.

"Are you calling me 'small', asswipe?" she snarled.

"Yeah...because you are. Now, calm down and get cozy. Quit being so fiery while you're at it. It's not warming you up any." he placed his other hand on his tea to warm it up too. Once his first hand got cold, he'd swap out.

"Whatever," she crossed her arms and relished in the warmth, "Thanks, I guess."

    "Anything for my human."
