"Get up." A sweet voice says (Gisa I'm guessing) and I roll over onto my stomach and then someone smacks me with a pillow.

"Go away." I shout and the smacking continues but it feels more like a massage than it pains.

"No get up!" Now that voice sounds like it will beat the shit out me (Farley for sure). Reluctantly I push myself seeing Farley and Gisa standing at my bed side.

"You have been in bed for a week and more than a half." Farley states.

"You cried so much over the past time I think it's time to go outside and breathe some fresh air." She pulls open the curtains and I hiss from the vast amounts of light and she continues. "And maybe take a shower." I roll my eyes, I don't smell that bad.

"First off I've been outside many times." Farley throws a bag onto the bed.

"Only for your midnight runs. It's like you hate the daylight." Gisa interject. Who's to say I don't.

Gisa throws clothes into the bag from both of our dresser.

"I don't want to go back to Norta yet." I whined. I love Norta its where I grew up but it's not where I want to be at the moment.

"We're not going back to Norta yet." Farley responded.

And Gisa answered my unasked question.

"We're packing a bag because we're going to the beach." Her eyes glistening as she says that.

I am rudely interrupted by my observation when Farley claps her hands in front of my face and says. "Chop, chop. We haven't got all day." I walk to the bathroom and shower. My shower takes 45 minutes but no one dears to question it.

I walk into the kitchen dressed in a yellow sundress with flats.

"It wouldn't kill you to pass a comb through your hair." I glare at Gisa and she passes me a comb in which gets suck in my hair.

People have been walking on eggshells around me I don't know why.

Gisa

Everyone has been walking on eggshells around Mare.

It's like she's going to crack and start to cry again. I'm surprised she chose this route to deal with the pains those false Kings brought onto her, I thought she would push all her feelings down like she usually does, I'm proud that she chose this way to deal with her grief. Neither of them can do even half of Mare could if she became Queen.

Those who don't want to rule, will rule the best.

She finally finishes getting the tangles out of her hair and she passes the brushes back to me and sits at the breakfast table with Farley and Dad.

Shade, Bree and Tramy are at the beach waiting for us.

Mom puts a pancake on her plate and she immediately starts to eat.
"Sweety it might be too ho-" Mom cuts herself off before she says the full word.

We're not allowed to say the words like: hot, warm, even cold or as a matter of fact anything relating to temperature.

Not since what happened last week: long story short mom said fire and Mare started crying and our dear brothers laughed and then realized she was actually really hurt about it, they got so angry that they wanted to go to Norta and assassinate Cal.

Mare

Their acting so suspicious. I know Maven has a spy in Monfort or aleast an evil spirit following me around. I've been reading a little too much books on religion and astrology. It actually makes sense.
