Maven

Three teleporters and Jacob Provos appears. I never lied when I said he'd die if he stepped foot Norta. Time to live up to that promise.

Mare's cheek is pressed against my chest as it should be, her beautiful brown and purple hair spills all over her face and I tuck it behind her ear and her brother eyes me with disgust or hatred maybe possibly both.

"Let my sister go." I hold her tigher. She lost a tremendous amounts of blood, I can tell just by that, she isn't going to wake anytime soon but she will. I can feel her pulse and its getting stronger by the minute.

"Shut up and get out of my way or I will burn you all to ashes." I need to remain calm, my babygirl is in my arms and I don't want to hurt her......anymore.

Jared and the healer Mario prepare themselves for a fight.

"Your in no situation to negotiate King Maven, you're outnumbered." He sneers. Why does he hate me so much? Oh yeah. I kind of put a collar on his sister for the entirety of Norta to see. I wonder if he knows about her brand. Then he might spit on my face for that.

He wastes no time as he teleporters closer a prys her away from me. Mario and Jared keeps them preoccupied. I envy my best friend at this moment, he gets to give Jacob a beat down.

Mare's brother repeatedly punches my face until I almost black out, his punches are stronger than Mare's, thankfully this is not Mare so I return a heavy fist along side a punch to the gut, he coughs up blood and seeing that I stupidly loosen my grip Mare, he teleports away with her.

I slam my fist against the ground, I can't lose her, not again.

I turn my head to the right to see Jacob Provos. I'll let my anger out on him. My punches are of full forces until Jared holds my fist back from the final punch that will end him.

"Maven stop! Don't kill him with your bare hands we both know that will be crossing a line." He's right I've never beaten someone to death but that won't be crossing a line for me, I've crossed the line years ago.

"Your right." I pull a dagger out from my pocket but before I can kill him a teleporter transports him out.

They are all gone but before I leave this part of Summerton I set the trees on fire with rage, they burn blue.

When we return to Whitefire. I stand in front of the mirror in my bathroom. Her blood is under my nails, my stomach has a grey bruise forming and I have dried silver blood on the side of my head from when she viciously smashed my head with rock.

Images of her skull bleeding and her in the water drives a fear in me so unknown.

I need to sleep, so I do. In her new bedroom. I'm not obsessed with her, I'm addicted to her. There's a difference.

I hug her pillow closer to my chest and imagine it's her, it even smells a little like her, but its fading. It's the the same pillow she slept on when she was here with me. She was never my prisoner, like she promised she came willingly, without a fight.

Mare

It's been a day and a half since my fight with Maven. I just woke up. Seriously what's with him and putting me to sleep for days. I'm now walking through the palace; looking for something.

I pass Cal's room, I don't go in but I stand at the door frame looking into his room. I can almost see the memories replay in my mind.

Everything looks as it did before. The books are on the shelf neatly packed, battle armour are perfectly placed, suddenly my mind drifts back at the thought of being in bed with Cal, pretending to fall asleep so he falls asleep after, and then opening my eyes and looking at his beautiful sleeping face and messy black hair, knowing he's someone else's burns my heart with betrayal.
