Her room was nothing much to look at, but it was good enough. A simple white bed and white blankets were against the left wall in a corner, with a small nightstand next to it.
The lights weren't even exciting, being just lightbulbs covered by white shades. The floor was at least a bit nicer. It was a light grey and a bit carpeted. Besides all this, there were only two other things. A bathroom leading off of the right wall, and a window on her back wall, covered by a shade.
She didn't hate the room. She just hated where she was. Well, she did emotionally. Scientifically, though, she could call this part heaven. So much new technology...
No. No. That was later. She would need somewhere to live before that. Somewhere more...cozy than this place. Like Etheria.Sighing, she used her hair to maneuver over to the window. She could tell that the glass was tinted a greenish color upon opening the shade with her hand, but she wasn't staring at that.
She was staring at the stars.
They looked so close she could almost touch them, and for a minute she forgot everything. Reality didn't seem to matter as she looked into the endless dark sky, spotting more upon more stars and even a few planets. They were so... "Pretty..." she mumbled, not realizing she had pressed her face to the glass in an attempt to see the universe better.
The colors swirled within each other, creating a spectacle for sure, but Entrapta knew there must be more beautiful things out there besides this one portion of the infinite universe. The greens, purples, pinks, and blues all collided in front of her, calling her to witness more, but she pulled herself away, shutting the curtains.
A small voice let out an upset screeching noise at that. "Sssshhh!!" Entrapta hissed, quite loudly. "They don't know you're here!" She glanced at her left pigtail, seeing the imps head poking through it. His tail poked out the other side, moving around.
The Imp had quite liked the stars as well and wanted to see them again. He wrestled himself out of Entrapta's hair and jumped onto the ground, perching there and poking his head between the curtains.
Entrapta sighed again but didn't stop him. She'd honestly want to look out there more herself but had more important things to do.
What exactly she wasn't entirely sure of. Well, she kinda was. Maybe.
Her different interests and newfound morals argued with each other for her full engagement. One wanted to get out of here and help the rebellion. Another wanted to stay so she could work on technology like at the Fright Zone. A part of her wanted to wait and do nothing, a different area wanting to explore and conduct experiments immediately, not even waiting for any directions from Prime of being allowed to. Some wanted to find Hordak.
She didn't like those ones.
Well, she didn't like thinking of what Hord Prime was doing to Hordak specifically, but she wouldn't admit that.Still, she found herself gravitating to those thoughts.
'I'll just...look for him if I have spare time. I need to find a way out of here first.' She decided, glancing towards imp. He was still cheerfully watching the stars, not a care in the world.
Entrapta furrowed her brows without noticing as she walked to the center of her room. She kept her eyes on the door as her hair sprouted upwards, dividing into smaller strands as each pigtail part searched around the ceiling. 'Nothing...nothing...Aha!' One of her pigtails had found something nestled in the back right corner of the room. The ceiling corner.
Moving her hair back towards where she stood, the tendril that held the object hovered in front of her face. Instinctively, Entrapta put her mask down, leaning in to observe the small piece of technology. "Fascinating.." She said aloud, also instinctively.
The object in front of her was what she believed to be a camera of some sort, and she was correct. It didn't look like a camera to a normal person though. It was almost identical to a medium-sized black marble of some sort, showing nothing else but Entrapta's reflection and a minuscule raised dot.
She wasted no time in pressing it down and waited in anticipation. Although it was soon replaced by frustration and some anger upon realizing the small bit of the camera that opened up with the button press was too small to mess with. She needed her smaller tools, which she didn't have. Not even a Bobby pin or pencil could fit in that space, making it more frustrating to the curious princess. "Horde tech. But it's more...real this time." she thought aloud.
She shoved the device in her pocket, her hair scouring the ceiling and floor one more time for any technology. None. Dang it, Hord Prime knew she would do that from seeing Hordak's memories huh?
'Wow, Hordak's ruining your life even when he's not around.'
That stupid voice was back. Technically it was her own thoughts, but she didn't like them, or their slimy tone in her head. Those voices weren't new, though. They've always popped up at some point, mostly when those thoughts of not fitting in came around.
Nowadays though they mainly tortured her about Hordak and her wrongdoings. As if now after all the pestering of her not fitting in she should go back to that exact rebellion group. At least it wasn't like beast island though.
Beast Island. She stared forward, lost in thought as her hair now froze in their places.
She HATED that place.
Not anything to do with the technology, no, and she quite enjoyed stealing that weird man's tiny rations, but... The voices. Her voices, technically. Maybe. Beast Island is still a mystery in that aspect. One she could never figure out or even try to without going mad.Beast Island. She had two bad experiences there with those voices and vines. She hated those vines too. One, the later one, was when Bow, Adora, and that strange man and the horse came to get her. The second one, again, technically the first one, she had to deal with alone.
That one scared her. It hurt her.
Because HIS voice seemed to be there. Back when she believed him to be nicer, to be her... Friend. She only barely got out of that one.
Because it felt so real, sounded so real.
For she had known deep deep down somewhere even before all of this that Hordak was a bad guy.So when Beast Island and her mental scowling voices joined together to act out Hordak's voice... And say anything they could... She almost believed them when they- when Hordak said-
"You really think I care for you? An Etherian? I guess I overestimated you. You really are that naive, 'Princess'."
And many many more sentences after that.
She didn't realize, as she stood in place and stared forward blankly, that silent slow tears started to run down her face.
Sorry this took a bit, but either way it's out now. I hope you enjoy it and stay tuned! I may work on a Christmas special that will take place before season 3's finale events, just for a chapter. You know, just so I can get in some Entrapdak fluff without messing up the plotline too much lol. Have a good day or night!
