(I know no one does this but in the middle of me writing Chapter Eight I was just like- I need some fluff from all this sadness. This will have absolutely nothing to do with New Years, New Years is just a holiday so it gives me an excuse to write this in the middle of the book. Enjoy, and this, like the Christmas special, does not follow the previous chapter. Enjoy!)

This happened a lot. Entrapta wasn't the most careful sometimes, and she would sometimes get hurt when doing her work. That was normal. Back in Dryl she'd sometimes have a bruise for weeks, or even some tingling burns leftover. Nothing serious, and they'd always heal on their own, so she would never worry.

But then there was Hordak.

All she did was put her mask on a split second too late when some electrical sparks flew up at her unexpectedly. Yeah, it hurt when it first happened, but now it was simply just tingly and throbby. It'd probably heal in about a week or so, no big deal.

But then there was Hordak.

He had witnessed her get hurt and heard her mutter a small 'Ow!' in response. She tried to keep working afterward, keeping her mask down this time, but Hordak stopped her. "You are hurt." She heard him say, but he still had his normal tone.

"Well, yeah. But it's nothing bad. They'll go away in a week or so." Entrapta didn't even glance in Hordak's direction as she spoke, her mask still down as she picked up a wrench to tighten a bolt. "I do not need you fine in a week, I need you fine now." Hordak was heard moving towards her direction, but Entrapta just kept working, tightening bolts and screwing in screws. "Why? If you're concerned about my ability to work on the portal, I assure you I can still work as optimal as I usually do." She responded as nonchalantly as before, apparently not giving a care in Etheria about this.

"I am...not concerned with your ability to work. Well, no, I am it is just..." Hordak stopped talking, thinking for a moment as he shuffled somewhere in the room. Entrapta, as usual, kept working, not taking any major notice of Hordak being worried for her.

She noticed the sound of his footsteps as he walked about the room, but made no note of it until he stopped right behind her. "Remove your mask," Hordak ordered, but his voice wasn't angry. It was level, with only a slight amount of any demand in it. "Why? I need it on in case of more sparks." She still didn't look at him.

"I mean stop working and take the mask off, Entrapta." Hordak re-phrased, making the princess turn to face him. He was holding some sort of burn cream and a few types of bandaids. He was staring at her, a small scowl from annoyance present on his face, but you could see the slight concern in his eyes. "Oh. Thank you." Entrapta murmured, her hair going upwards and attempting to grab the materials as her hands continued to work on a part of the portal.

Hordak moved the materials away from her reach. "Stop working." His voice increased in tone and demand. Entrapta turned to face him again, not quite grasping just why he was concerned. Begrudgingly she put down her tools, dusting herself off as she stood. "Fine. But I'm really okay." Entrapta reinforced, putting her hands on her hips as a tendril of her hair flipped her mask off of her face.

Her face wasn't really scarred or burned deep in any fashion. There were simply three small red marks near the bottom of her right cheek. "See? Not that bad, I'm fine." Entrapta shrugged, looking to the side where she felt the burns. She couldn't see them since she didn't have a mirror.

Hordak looked over the burns, having a confusing urge to touch her cheek. He held it back and showed no reaction but a slight widening of the eyes. He shouldn't be so concerned about a princess. An Etherian. But he still was, and it confused and intrigued him. "You are not fine. Here, put this on." He muttered, glancing away so she could not attempt to read his exspression. He moved the medical items towards her, Entrapta lightly taking them upon their offer.
