It was getting worse.Well, two things were.
The ability for Hordak to remember, and the pain of being forced to remember what he does. Most of everything not involving the purple haired princess had been erased, being easier to tear the feelings off them and make him forget.
And while Hordak could care less about those memories (he thinks), he could not seem to let go of those with the purple blob. Well, sometimes a purple blob.
Cause something weird was happening. Every time he was forced to review another memory with the girl in it, she'd get clearer and clearer. While everything around her got blurrier and blurrier.
It was as if something in his subconscious would not let him forget her. Yet it failed to tell him exactly who she was.
He snarled in the outside in annoyance. Why would his mind show him how important this girl is but not why? It confused him, even though something nagged at him that it shouldn't, and that hurt. He wanted to forget only for the fact of forgetting this confusing pain.
Now he was able to she her other colors, such as that of her clothes and skin. He got an outline now, but still no face. Still no name. Still no reason why.
He hated it. But he didn't. What was the opposite of hate again anyway? He could not recall.
But Hord Prime could.
Hord Prime stood in front of his brother, an unreadable expression present on his face.
Love. How disgusting. How vile, worthless, unneeded, and powerful.
While the galactic leader himself despised love, he knew what power it held. People of any race in any galaxy could be easily defeated and empowered by love. Something so worthless could be transformed into a mighty weapon.
A weapon Hord Prime was no stranger to using against people.
Luckily, he had never fallen into the jaws of love himself, and planned he never would. So he thought all of his brothers would not either. But of course, he shouldn't have underestimated that emotion. For right here in front of him was his brother. And even while having his memories slowly being erased he subconsciously held on to his love for a princess.
Normally, Hord Prime would have just ignored it. But his brother, this one here, was useful. He needed him back sooner rather than later, which was why he decided to do what he was about to do.
Looking down, the galactic conquerer wrapped a hand around a slim lever, and pulled it downwards.
Metallic noises rung quietly throughout the room as the restraints containing Hordak slowly opened, allowing him to fall to the floor. Hordak did not move, he was unconscious.
Hord Prime walked towards his brother in no rush, leaning down to his height upon reaching the clone. Then he grabbed his brother by the neck and pulled him off the ground, looking him over with a frown before his hair- yes, it was actually hair- snaked forwards, craning around his brothers neck and plugging themselves into him.
Hordak jolted awake around that, his eyes snapping open in alarm. His red eyes. Yet before he could react to anything happening Hord Prime threw his brother back to the ground near the restraints, his hair having been removed now.
Hordak grunted, attempting to stand as he re-collected everything he remembered. He only had bits and pieces, most of his previous knowledge had been erased. He only still had what he had during the process. Memories of Hord Prime, re-conditioning, and...her.
Her. The girl with the purple hair who confused him so. The girl who amazed him, the girl who was always curious. The girl. Her- she was- she was important. Why? Everything rushed back to him at once he didn't understand what he knew but he did because he remembered her.
