For first period I've got science with Roman, this usually ends in him getting frustrated then calling it pointless and copying my answers. So I can't say it's very enjoyable with Roman whining the whole time. Why am I dating him again? I'm sure he'll do something sweet and I'll remember why, we walk to class hand in hand and Roman looks down at out hands quizzically. He lifts my hand to his face and says.
"You're so pale Virge." He cocks an eyebrow.
"Gee thanks." I say sarcastically.
"No no I didn't mean it in a bad way, but you are unusually pale." I put my hands in my hoodie pockets self consciously and we continue to walk.
"You're only just realising this?"
"No I just... I worry about you, that's all." Then I see the it, the concerned glance.
"I know Roman." I smile a little. "But I'm fine okay?" He hesitates.
"Okay." He says, and I know he's still not satisfied with my answers but it's not like I can tell him or anything. So we get to class and when we sit down, Roman holds my hand under the desk. He smiles at me and then I remember why I fell in love with him in the first place. He's really sweet and smart when it comes down to it, just dense. I love him and I think he deserves to know but I can't risk it, sorry Roman. I don't know how much longer I can keep this up though. He knows something's up I just know he does, of course he does. It's not like I was very subtle, god I'm such an idiot I'm gonna be in so much trouble if my parents find out that he found out holy shit I'm so dead...breath....it's okay Virge. It's Roman, but everything's all muffled. I take a deep breath and I can feel Roman's hand tense around my own.
"Hey Storm Cloud, you okay?"
"Yeah...yeah I'm fine." He kisses my hand and gets back to work, surprisingly.

I have to tell him, I can't do this anymore. It's not like he's gonna tell anyone. We walk out class as the final bell goes Patton and Logan walk off home, that just leaves me and Princey. Telling him could be risky and I know he's dumb but he is trustworthy. I know I can trust him I'm just...scared, as usual, I don't even notice Princey rambling, "So today Logan and I got into a debate about whether vampires are real or not."
Shit. I climb out of my own head for a minute, did I hear that right?
"Oh uhh...cool." Real smooth Virge. "How did that go?"
"Pretty well until Logan started making really good points like the nerd he is." He pouts, it makes me smile a little and I roll my eyes. "I just think they'd be living among us and we wouldn't even know, but they'd be super emo and probably antisocial because of the whole sunlight thing ya know?" I just nod. I don't even know how long we've been walking I've been inside my own head so long. We're already at Roman's house, he pulls me inside and we stand in the hallway only breaths away from each other.
"Smile." He says abruptly.
"What? Why?"
"Just do it." I push my lips together tightly and force an awkward smile. "With your teeth dumbass," I hesitate and the corners of my mouth turn up. I flash a quick grin at him and he stands gaping at me. "Holy shit." He whispers under his breath. "How have I never noticed that before?" I shrug at him and he's still in shock. "Care to explain Emo Nightmare?" I take a deep breath.
"You've already got me all figured out do I really have to say it?" I grumble.
"Yes."
"Why?"
"Because I need to know I proved Logan wrong."
"Ugh, Roman I'm a vampire." I deadpan. A huge smile spreads across his face and he whips out his phone.
"Victory! Now I can rub it in Logan's face." I snatch his phone away and scowl.
"Roman you can't tell anyone, that'd literally be putting everyone in danger."
"Fine." He whined. "I won't tell anyone." I give him a peck on the cheek.
"Thank you."

We move our conversation to the living room, Roman sits and plays with my hair occasionally kissing my neck.
"So are your parents vampires too?"
"Just my dad."
"And how comes going out in daylight, doesn't it kill you?"
"Well the sun I'm just allergic too."
"What about garlic? Would that kill you?"
"Nope."
"A stake to the heart?"
"That'd kill anyone."
"Good point. Wow Hollywood has lied to me for so many years."
"And all the low budget vampire movies."
"How dare they, how will I ever learn trust again?" He drapes himself dramatically over my lap as I laugh. It's nice to have this out in the open.
