Blog 417: Baby Shower Drama

Two weeks later:

Maya's POV:

Today was the day, the day I've been waiting for since I found out I was having a...just kidding you guys aren't finding out just yet. But anyways I woke up and looked at the clock and saw it was 9:30 in the morning and I had to get ready for my baby shower. I looked next to me and see Josh laying there and I remembered my mom let him, Missy, and Matty spend the night so they could help set everything up. I eased my way out of the bed to make sure I didn't wake Josh and walked downstairs.

Matty- "Morning Maya."

Maya- "Hey Matty. How'd you sleep?"

Matty- "Alright I guess, how bout you?"

Maya- "Not so great, I mean this baby had me up all night."

Matty- "Bummer, well sit down and I'll get you something."

I sat down and Matty made me a fruit smoothie, oatmeal, and fresh fruit. We talked for a bit before we heard Olivia crying and Matty went to check on her.

Josh's POV:

I woke up to what sounded like Olivia crying and Matty walking into her bedroom to get her. I rolled over and noticed that Maya wasn't laying next to me anymore, I got up and washed my face and brushed my teeth, and made my way downstairs when I heard Maya and Matty talking in the kitchen.

Matty- "Maya can I ask you something?"

Maya- "Sure Matty, what is it?"

Matty- "Are you happy?"

I mean could you believe it he was asking her if she was happy, how could he be asking that knowing I was in the other room. Did he not care for Maya and I's relationship? Was Maya really happy or was she just trying to make me feel better, I mean she already had Olivia and is going to have another baby with him. Maybe she wasn't really happy with me and she wanted to be with Matty all along. I was so deep in my thoughts I didn't hear Missy come up behind me.

Missy(whispering)- "So whatcha doing?"

Josh- "Geez Missy, you scared me!! You can't just sneak up on people."

Missy- "What are you doing?"

Josh- "Nothing, what are you doing?"

Missy- "Josh you can't lie to me, what's going on?"

Josh- "Nothing I was coming downstairs when I heard Matty and Maya in the kitchen and Matty asked Maya if she was happy and I wasn't really able to hear her answer."

Missy- "Come on Josh, you've known Maya for 4 months now and I've never seen her this happy."

Josh- "But she's having his baby and it's like everywhere I turn there he is, not to mention I have to watch them both at the gender reveal and now the shower."

Missy- "Baby or not Maya wants to be with you, and if it's bothering you this much TALK TO MAYA!! Okay?"

Missy walked downstairs leaving me to think about everything she had said and she was right, I was going to talk to Maya and let her know how I was feeling, I mean what could go wrong right?

Maya's POV:

Matty had made is way back downstairs with Olivia on his hip and put her in her highchair and got breakfast ready for her. While he was getting her a banana he said he wanted to ask me something, I mean what could he possibly want, before I knew it he was asking me if I was happy. Happy, what did he mean by happy? Was I happy with Josh, of course, I mean why wouldn't I be happy he's stuck by me even after he found out about the pregnancy? I told Matty that I was happy and Josh was a great guy. After our conversation, Missy made her way into the kitchen and grabbed some fruit that was in the bowel and Josh came in a few seconds after.
