It a Tuesday morning, I was going home today for the Gala. Ever since Layla and Nora fell out, Layla has refused to talk to Nora or be anywhere near her. Nora was adamant to apologize. She said the right thing in a wrong and insulting way. She called Layla a whore!
The whole group had been divided, or should I say, everyone's avoiding Nora, except me.

Coming back to today, I was already set to go on my journey. I woke Nora, who was having a nap in the living room. She must have dozed off while watching a movie on Tv.

"Nora" I gently shook her.

She squinted her eyes and hummed "Hmm?"

"I'm about to go now"

"So soon?" She slowly got up from the couch

I rolled my eyes, bringing my phone to her face. "It's 2pm"

"Oh!"

"Yup. Now come walk me out of the door" I say with Nora trailing behind me.

"Bye, I'll miss you" she smiled, lazily.

"Its just a few days" I returned the smile, but mine was a little bit brighter. "Nevertheless, I'll miss you too" I said as I hugged her.

"Aria! I've missed you so much" Avery squealed as  she gave me a tight hug.

"I've missed you too Darling. How've you been?" I caressed her hair.

"Great -"

"Aria, I'm glad you could make it" mum said as she walked towards me.
"Guard!" She called and a huge guy came to her "Take her things to her room. Ask a maid to direct you" she instructed and the guy did as directed. My mum is a very strict woman. If she weren't my mum, I'll probably be scared of her. She hardly showed emotions. She only shows her soft side to her family and few friends.

"Hey Mum" I gave her a peck on her cheek "Didn't you miss me?" I furrowed my brows.

"Of course I did! Come here" she gave me a hug, one that was so comforting and warm, one only a mother could give. "Let's go in, the whole family is waiting"  She ushered me in, all the while, Avery had our fingers entwined. She is so clingy and I love it. Even at 17, she still behaves like 8.

"Look how tall you've become" Lawson my eldest brother and the most annoying, sarcastically commented with his chin on my head.  I hate being referred to as short.
I know I can't be as tall as them but at least close to their height would be better, so they stop resting their chin on my head

"I'm not short" I stated, getting out from under his chin.

"He never said you were, you said it yourself" Mark added.

Gosh my older brothers are annoying. Its in their DNA.

"That's a lie" I said as I poured myself a drink.

"Ray and Chard are tall though" Lawson remarks and I know where he's driving to.

What an insult. The twins are only 13 and I'm certain, I am taller. Lawson and Mark only love taunting me. I thought they'll change once they clock 19 or 20, but no. Even at 27 and 25, taunting me Is still their hubby. Lawson is married to his College girlfriend, Elma and they are expecting a baby.
While Mark isn't ready to fall in love yet. He says he's searching for Mrs right

"Sirs, ma'am, Your mum has called for dinner"  A petite maid announced.
We were in the dinning room in the ground floor, which was for visitors , the one upstairs was for family, only.
