Aria's POV

I woke up to the harsh sunlight peeking from my drapes, feeling lazy and tired as I usually do, I covered my quilt over my head.
Suddenly the light filled my room.

Damn Nora

"Rise and shine" her annoying sugar sweet voice echoed in the room.

"Ugh! Let me have some sleep. Please go" I whined, turning my back to her

"If you don't get your lazy ass off that bed, I swear I'll make you" she replied, but instead I  made my self more comfortable in the bed, before I could say anything, she started tickling me.

"Nora....Coleson!" I said in between giggles. "Stoooppp!" I pushed her away, forcing myself up.

"Good. Now you're up, have a bath and get your lazy ass ready. You have a test today" she announced.

Nora is my best friend, we've been friends since high school. She was the quiet kid who never associated with people, I made her my friend and since then, I never leave her to go back to that shell.

"What?! What test?!" My eyes went wide, the initial sleepy eyes all gone now.

"Biology" she sang, grinning.
She acts like my mum sometimes, reading my schedule and shit.
Like doesn't she have work to do? She took business as a major not medicine, yet she knows when I have classes, test and all that.

We're all in our final year and you have no idea how happy I am.
I'm in the medical department and she's in the business department.

Although being a medical student, I still own a clothing business of my own here in new York. Even if it isn't as big as my parents', at least it is well to do.

"What the hell! Who gives test on the second week of resumption? This is preposterous!" I yelled, kicking the sheets away and making my way to the bathroom. I could hear Nora's giggles.

"Don't spend a year in there!" She yelled.

Who cares

After having my bath, I packed my hair in a messy bun and put on a black straight gown which stopped a little bit above my knees, white jacket and white sneakers and I did my make up

"Ready?" Nora asked
"Ready" I mumbled as we walked out, into my garage.
"So which car do you suggest we ride today I asked as we made our way into the garage.

This house was bought by my parents for me, ever since I started school in this city.

"This one" Nora said, pointing at the black 2018 Porsche I got as my 20th birthday gift, from my mum.
I looked at it for a while, thinking as to agreeing with her or not

"Okay, come on" I said as I got the keys  and pulled out of the driveway. I turned on the radio and one of my favorite songs was playing; 'Here' by Alessia Cara. I gave Nora a knowing look and we sang along

'I'm sorry if I seem uninterested
Or I'm not listening or I'm indifferent.
Truly I ain't got no business here, but since my friends are here, I just came to kick it.
But truly I would rather be at home all by myself not in this room with people who don't even care about my well being, I don't dance, don't ask I don't need a boyfriend, pardon my manners please enjoy your party I'll be here......'

We sang till we were out of breath, we didn't even realize we were singing so loud, good thing my window glasses are tinted so no one saw. After we realized how loud we were, we started laughing.
"But you have a boyfriend though" Nora pointed out.

"I know... Its just the lyrics and I love it a lot" I chuckled. "When are you getting yourself a boyfriend Nora?" I gave her a quick glance before looking back at the road.

"Dunno, still searching for Mr right" she replied, cleaning the dirt she might have seen in her nails.

"Just pick any guy and make him right" I joked and she chuckled.

"Its not that easy Ari"

"And about those nails, how about we go to the spa this weekend? Bills on me"
"Bills are always on you, silly" she joked.

We arrived at school, I really didn't prepare for any test, talk less of actually knowing there was a test. Like who gives test in the second week of first semester. Ugh! these professors are so annoying.

I walked into the class, Nora left to get some stuff or something I wasn't really paying attention. I was giving my full concentration to the test at hand. I know I'm ace in all my courses and always get parallel A's but, my mum once said; overconfidence kills.

The test wasn't as hard as I thought it would, in fact it was easy. After I finished, I submitted, closed my laptop and walked out of the class, since all laptops were schools property.

I was so hungry as I didn't have breakfast in the morning, because I was running late. I brought out my iPhone and sent a text to Alex

Aria: Where're you? You free?

Alex: Yeah why?

Aria: let's grab launch at the cafeteria in school

Alex: Wierd.  You never eat at that cafeteria....anyways I'll pick you up. Be there in 5

I chuckled at his statement and texted Nora I'll be out with Alex and that she shouldn't wait for me after school

Although, Alex passed out from this school a year ago, I still call him to hangout, sometimes in the school premises.

Exactly 5 minutes later, he arrived (in the car I had fallen in love with) knowing how much  I hate waiting.

"Hey babe" he gave me a peck on the lips.
"Whats up? I've missed you" I said as he held the door open for me to get in.

"I'm great" he replied as he got in the car. " You saw me yesterday" he sneered in a playful and cute way.

"I know" I rolled my eyes. "Ain't I allowed to miss my baby?" I smirked, giving him and intense as he drove.

Any time I see him, I am proud to call him mine.

"Okayy..quit giving me that look, we're only going to have lunch" he stated.

Was it that obvious?

"what if I told you I don't want that anymore" I gave him a sly smirk.

"What? Why?" He gave me a quick glance before looking back at the road.

"I'm hungry for something else" I replied sultrily, running my fingers from his knees to his groin.

"No no no no no! Not that, not now" he stated, trying to hold back his smile.

"Let's see how long you can resist me" I winked.
