Aria's POV

10 months later

I take in a deep breath, fumbling with my fingers as I look at myself in the huge floor-to-ceiling mirror. After all that has happened in my life, I look kinda.....different.
Suddenly, I feel an arm wrapping round my shoulders

Carl.

"What're you thinking 'bout?"

I stare at him from the mirror.
I shake my head and give a small (almost there) smile.
A sad smile.

"Nothing. I just remembered something" I sigh as I rest my palm on his hand hanging down my shoulder.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" I asks softly.
I shake my head.
"Never mind.....how do I look in this dress?" I ask him, as I take a look at the mint green colored dress. Uncertainty clear in my features.

"I'm hundred percent certain you'll steal the spotlight in that dress. You are beautiful, you have always been"
I smile, a genuine smile.

"Thank you. I'm sure my friends are waiting for me right now. We have to hurry, else Riley might loose her mind" I chuckle.

"Shall we?" He extends his arm and I take it as we walk hand in hand outside the house.

The drive to the hotel felt like longer than it actually was. Immediately I got  out of the car, Layla dragged me upstairs to Riley's room.

The room was filled with ladies, so many of them, some doing Riley's makeup, some her hair, some her nails and many more.

"Aria" she grins as she turns over to look at me. "You came?!" She exclaims as she embraces me.

"I wouldn't miss this for anything in the world" I smile.

"She has been stressing herself, thinking if you'll show up or not" Everly who is sitting on the bed says and I chuckle.

"I'm really glad you could come" Riley smiles.

"I came back yesterday actually, I thought I should surprise you."

"You sure did. So tell me, how's Texas?"

"Texas's fine. Avery really wanted to come, but she had exams today. She sends her greetings and congratulations" I smile.

"Oh! Tell extend my appreciation to her...."

"Girls! What are y'all still doing in here? The wedding is about to start" Riley's mother says as she barges in.

"Mum" Riley rolls her eyes. "The wedding cannot start without the bride, so chill"

Few minutes later, we were done with all the preparations. The drive to the church was not that long, we arrived the church in no time.
Riley was a nervous wreck as we approached the entrance of the church

"You ready?" I ask as I place my hand on her shoulder.
She rubs her palms together and sighs.

"Yeah...I am"

"Aria Belleville" I hear someone call my name, I turn around only to meet with the familiar brown eyes of Trinidad, Nora's Grandmother. For a moment, I almost forgot how I knew the old woman, then I remembered that I also knew someone called Nora.

"Aria what have you done to my granddaughter?" She old woman asked.
I look around in embarrassment. She was already causing a scene.
"Ma'am Trinidad....uh....it's good to see you"
"Good? Good? You sent my granddaughter to jail, your best friend and you think I'll be okay with it? I had no idea she was even in jail, I have been trying to reach her for over nine months and I just know realize she's been locked up!" She yells, frantically swinging her arms

"Ma'am please this is not the best time or place to do all these" one of the men around try to calm her, but she refuses.

"No! Are you embarrassed? You should be! You are making not only my granddaughter's life miserable, but mine too!"
More people had already gathered around, to see what was happening.
Some people were even making videos.
Oh God!
Not this again.
In no time, Carl was beside me.
"What's going on here?" He asks.

"Ma'am Trinidad, with all due respect, please leave. You're causing a scene here" Everly steps forward.

"A scene? Yea! Let everyone know the kind of worthless person Aria is."
I didn't even realize tears were already running down my cheeks.

"Ma'am Trinidad that's enough! I won't tolerate you ruining my wedding! Leave or I will make you" Riley glares at the old woman.

"My child is behind bars for Christ sake and you girls are here celebrating a wedding?"

"Take this maniac away from here" Riley ordered her body guards.
The both grabbed her by her arms, but she continued to struggle to free herself from their grip.

"Aria Belleville! I curse you! You will never be happy with your life! Since you love inflicting pain in others, you will never find happiness! Your life will be filled with sadness and pain...."  Her voice drifts away as they take her away.

Riley turns to me. "I'm so sorry about that Aria. I never thought there will be an intruder. I'm sorry"
I sniffle as I hold her hands. "It's not your fault." I look inside the church, seeing the worried expression on Kevin's face. "Go ahead, Kevin's waiting for you" I smile. She gives me a hug and as soon as she lets go, I walk away from the  swarm of people.

"Aria!" I hear Carl calling my name.
I don't even know where I'm going, all I know is I need to get out of all those people.
What will be the caption of those videos?
'Aria Belleville utterly disgraced at friends wedding'?

I don't even want to think about it.
I don't know how far I had walked, but I soon saw Carl's car beside me.

"Please Aria, Come in"

Nora/Elisa's POV

Sitting on the hard bed, I stay there, my head on my palm, thinking about my life.
What has my life turned into?
The worst day of my life was when I heard the final judgment of my case

Fifteen years imprisonment or ten thousand dollars bail.
How on earth can I have such amount of money?
My grandma has no money. I couldn't even tell her about my jail sentence.
She realized I haven't been sending money or calling her as often, that's when she forced me to tell her the truth.
I told her I am in jail, but not the cause of the sentence.

Suddenly, I heard the clatter of keys. I jerk up to see the prison warder unlocking the bars

"Coleson! You have a visitor" she said in her usual stern tone.

I tiredly muster energy to stand up, knowing full well what she will do if I don't act fast. The not-so-few bruises on my back can testify to that.

I walk to the visiting room, wondering who must have come to visit me. No one ever does. For the past ten months, I have had no visitors

I was practically pushed inside the room, my eyes scanning the room to find any familiar face, then my eyes fell on her, her back to me.

I stiffened.

I never thought I would see her here. I never even wanted her to be here, but there she was, waiting to see me.
