Chapter 23 - Busy

Alex's POV

After the meeting at work, I drive to Elisa's house, that she once shared with Aria.

I ring the doorbell and few minutes later, she comes to get the door.
"Alexander. Have you made up your mind yet?"

"Elisa-"

Bam

She closes the door in my face.
I knock.

"Go Alex"

"Please, just hear me out"

"What do you want?"

"Open the door first. Please love"

The door swings open and I don't hesitate to walk in.

"So?" She cocks her head to the side

"I haven't made a decision yet-"

"Then what are you doing here?"

"I can't stay away from you, damn it!"

"But you have, you did in the past."

"Elisa please"

"If you are not ready to belong to me completely, don't call me that" she says through clenched teeth.

"Okay fine. I will...I will make a decision. Soon, I will" I move closer to her and cup her cheeks.

Aria's POV

I pour myself some cereal as I dial Everly's number.

"Hey girl!" She happily answers. "What's up"

"Nothing much, just having lunch" I reply with same energy.

"So, any updates on Alexander?"

"We're okay now. Last night he apologized. He didn't even realize we were drifting apart." I beam.

"Aria. Are you sure he was sincere in his apology?"
I furrow my brows.
"What do you mean?"

"Are you sure he wasn't just apologizing so you will not suspect him anymore?"
I chuckle. "come on Eve. No. His apology was sincere and he said he'll try to be better. I don't think he is actually cheating, I was just paranoid" I munch on my cereal.
Eve stays quiet for sometime before she replies
"Okay. If you think so, who am I to think otherwise?" She sighs.

"So now stop overreacting. I was just imagining things" I chuckle.
"What are you up to?"

"I'm at work" she replies.

"Okay. It's been kind of long since I hung out with Nora, I will call her now. Bye Eve"

I scroll through my contacts and dial Her number.
It rings, but she doesn't pick
I try again, she's probably not close to her phone.
I set it to speaker, so I can eat my food comfortably.

"Hello" her voice sounds so weak.
"Nora, are you okay?"
"I....I'm fine" she replies.
"Are you sure? If you want I can come over-"
"No, no. You don't have to. I'm fine"
"Are you at home?" I furrow my brows.
"Y..yes...no I'm not. Sorry. I...I'm just kind of busy over here" she replies.
Maybe she's busy.

Nora's POV

We were already on bed, he had already undressed me and I him. His hands ran all over my body. I felt so hot. We were on cloud 9 when I heard my phone go off.
Who could that be
I ignore it as Alex continues placing wet kisses on my neck.
The phone goes off again.

"Who's that" I groan as I try to reach for the stupid phone. Alex tries to stop me, but I give him an apologetic look as I answer the stupid call.
I was about to talk when Alex thrust in
"Hello" my voice came out weak.
