Steve's POV

It has been about two years since I have talked to any other Avengers other than Sam, Natasha, Wanda and Vision. Not going to lie, I wish I could just go back home in New York, but sadly I can't. Hell I can't even walk around without getting caught let alone trying to go to a place where everyone knows me. Personally I want this whole thing to be over.

"Hey Steve, get over here!" Sam yelled, yanking me out of my thoughts. I start to walk over. "What?" he turned his attention over to me "I think the neighbor is starting to get suspicious, I have seen her watch us as we go in and out of the apartment, she was talking to the landlord about us and she might have told someone about us. So it is either she is onto us, or she has a crush on one of us." Sam said

"I have a feeling it is the first one Sam, and even if it was the second one, my money will be on her liking Steve." Nat said looking down at her book.

"You're rude." Sam said crossing his arms and looking away from her. "Why can't you two just get along?" I said "How about this, we will look out for her once more and if she is watching us we will leave. I mean, we don't have a reason to stay here, this is just a place off the grid or a 'safe house'. We just need to make sure we go somewhere far so they can't follow us."

They both went silent, I didn't understand why, until I heard a knock on the door. We all looked over to the door. The person on the other side was knocking up a storm, so either they are mad at us or the door messed with them somehow. I walked over to my shield and picked it up. Natasha grabbed her gun along with Sam, all three of us walked over slowly and quietly. The person kept knocking and knocking, nonstop. I looked through the peephole and saw our neighbor with an angry look on her face.

"What is her problem?" I said, "Should we open it?" Nat asked "Well we kind of have to, if we don't she'll just keep knocking!" Sam said putting his gun back in its holster

I placed my shield behind the door, so she couldn't see it. Nat places her gun on the floor behind my shield. I open the door with a confused look on my face.

"Hello?" I said sounding tried. I didn't even mean to sound like that "Ya hi, can you guys please keep your voices down, along with the music, it is to loud and I can't sleep" She said

"First we weren't talking loud at all, and secondly, we are not the ones playing the music, it is the people in front of us. Also they are the ones who are screaming, so you should go yell at them." I said looking down at her. After I said that she turned on her heels walked over to the door in front of me and started knocking loudly. I rolled my eyes and closed the door.

"Why the hell does she think it would be us? We didn't do anything! Besides, is she deaf? She didn't hear that the music was behind her and not in front of her?" Sam said crossing his arms and sitting down on the couch.

"It won't matter. We will be leaving here soon anyway. One more day and we are gone" I looked over at Nat. She was standing looking back and forth between me and Sam.

"To be fair, we should have left about a week ago but we never found another place to stay, so that was the problem." Sam said standing up.

"Well now we did, we should tell Wanda and Vision as well, just in case they will want to stay near us." Natasha suggested

"Now where are we going to find the time for that!?" Sam waved his hands in the air like a toddler.

"Nat! Sam! Be quiet, we have time, we will tell them and we will leave, now shut up and either get some rest or start packing!" I yelled tired of hearing them argue over it.

"Sorry Steve...." They both said. We all walked to our corners of the small room and started to pack everything we needed. I told them that I will leave early to go find Wanda and Vision.

It was about 4:30 in the morning when I left the apartment. I was wondering for about ten minutes when I felt someone or something watching me. I turned around and saw, nothing. Nothing was there, but the feeling still lingered. I brushed it off and continued my walk. After five minutes I heard something coming from the alleyway to the left of me. I walked down to see what fell when something hit my head. I stumbled and hit the wall. I slid down and saw someone walking towards me.

"Hello Captain, it has been a long time hasn't it?" The person said. Then everything went black.
