It has been about two weeks since we got Steve back from the Hydra base he was kept in for a month, but ever since he got back he has been acting, differently. Sometimes he leaves the tower in the middle of the night and returns in the morning with no memory of ever leaving. He will snap at me and everyone else even if we were nice to him. After a while of him doing this I have decided to talk to him to see what is wrong with him.

I walked into Steve's room, I didn't bother to knock since he doesn't mind me walking in unannounced. He was sitting at his desk drawing a picture of what looks to be a forest. "Hey Steve, can I talk to you for a minute? It won't take long trust me" He places his pencil down and looks up at me. Something in his gaze doesn't feel right "What is it Stark?" He said, sounding a little annoyed

"I just wanted to ask, what happened to you at the Hydra base?" I tried not to sound pushy, but judging by the look he gave after I asked, he didn't look too happy to talk with me. "Look Stark, I don't want to talk about it. I am just trying to forget it, alright?" He said moving his head back down to his drawing. "Please I just want to know if you are ok or if they hurt you or they got into your head or -"

He slammed his hand down on the table. "I said, I DON'T want to talk about it!" He yelled as he stood up from his seat and is now looking down at me. His eyes, they started to go red. "Steve what is wrong with your eyes? They...they were turning red. Steve what did they do to you?"

He pushed me up against the wall, I yelped a little bit. My arms started to hurt from him holding me. He was looking at me straight in my eyes. His eyes were now blood red. "Look Stark, when someone says they don't want to talk, they don't want to talk. You can just keep asking them more questions till they scream at you. So tell me Stark, are you going to leave me alone or ask more questions?"

I started to shake. I am not going to lie, he was scaring me. When I didn't answer in time he dug his nails into my arms. "Answer me Stark!" He spat. "No, no, I won't, I promise. But Steve, let me go, you're hurting me." He looked down at my arms and let go. He walked over to his desk, sat down and proceeded to draw once again. "Now go away."

I didn't want to bother him more so I just left. As I was in the hall I lifted up my right sleeve to see if I was bleeding, turns out I am. I pulled my sleeve back down and headed towards my lab. I started to work on my new suit design for about two hours when Steve walked in. His eyes were back to his normal sky blue color, which is probably a good sign. "Hey Stark, are you ok? You asked me a question and then just left." He looked a little sad

"You really don't remember do you?" "Remember what?" He sounded confused "After I asked you the question you said you didn't want to talk about it and you were trying to forget it. I just wanted to know what was wrong with you, like if they hurt you or what. Then you just stood up saying you don't want to talk about it again and your eyes were a little red. When I mentioned it to you, you proceeded to push me up against the wall and gave me these marks."

I lifted my right sleeve once more to show the marks he gave me. He walked over, when he saw the marks he put his hand over his mouth. "I am so sorry Tony, I don't even remember doing any of that. I am so sorry." He looked like he wanted to cry "Don't start crying it is fine, I am ok. It hurts a little but I'll live. Let me run some tests to see if Hydra really did do something to you ok?"

He wiped the tear that was now running down his face, "Ok, that is fine, do what you need to do alright." I walked over to him and hugged him. "I'll get started. I just need you to lay down over here ok?" I let him go and pointed to the bed where he should lay. He stood up and started to walk over to the bed when he stopped. He turned his head to look at me. His eyes, they were once again blood red.

"Steve is everything alright? Your eyes, they are red again." He started to laugh, it was like a maniacal laugh. "I am fine Stark, but, oh how do I say this?" He ran over and pushed me to the ground and pinned my arms so I won't move. "You're the one who is not ok." He tightened his grip on my wrist, I yelped out in pain.
