Steve's POV
*Jump Back*
I was laying in bed staring at the ceiling. It has been about an hour since Tony and Bucky left to go who knows where. I looked over to my right to see two guards standing by the door, watching over me which is odd since I don't remember them outside the room when I came in. I groaned a bit when I sat up causing the guards to look over to me. "Ah, Captain Rogers, you are awake. Mr. Stark and Mr. Barnes had to step out for a bit and they asked us to watch over you." I nodded my head before I tried my best to stand up.
I was halfway up when I felt a sharp pain in my head. I yelped and fell to the ground. "Come on Captain. You need to go back to them. Go back to Hydra. Go back to your home." My breathing was sharp and abnormal. My head was throbbing, my chest was burning and my eyelids felt heavy. The guards ran over to my side, "Captain, are you ok?" Their voices were a little muffled from the ringing in my ears. "Captain ans-" He was cut off all of sudden. I looked up to see my hand on his throat. The other guard was about to take my hand off his throat but stopped when I took his knife and cut his hand.
I let the first guy go after he stopped fighting me, he fell to the ground but thankfully he was still breathing. The second guard was running to the door probably going to get some help. Another sharp pain shot through my head, I yelped once again. The guard finally opened the door but I threw a helmet at him which hit him square on the head, knocking him out. The room fell silent other than the ticking of the clock on the wall. Looking around I just stared at the two guards on the floor, they were still breathing which was good. "Happy now Captain? Look what you did. Now come home. NOW!"
I shook my head, stood up and ran out into the hall. I heard footsteps coming from the hall on my right. "TONY! JAMES! GET BACK HERE!" I booked it down the hall, trying my best not to make so much noise. After a few turns I made it to the front of the castle, opening the doors I saw the quinjet sitting there. No one was around which was good so I ran into the quinjet and started it up. The rigging came back but it wasn't as bad as before so I didn't react as much. "Now Captain, come home." The voice in my head kept talking, it was like another person stuck inside, they didn't shut up nor did I think they would for a while. The engines roared when I turned the key. Pushing a few buttons the quinjet rose up and flew towards the barrier. Thankfully the quinjet can go through it without breaking so it was easy to escape from Wakanda.
My mind kept spinning, the ringing kept coming back and the voice kept telling me to go "home" which I am guessing is the Hydra base in Siberia. I tried my best to fiddle with something so I don't get bored. The closer I got to Siberia I noticed the ringing got louder, louder and louder. It was like a gong in my head constantly going off I wanted it to shut up so I listened to music, sang a sea shanty, and sung the stupid "99 bottles of beer" song but nothing worked. The ringing continued all the way to the base.
*Time skip*
I made it all the way to Siberia, it took about 3 hours so I had time to think about what was going on...I couldn't think about anything, everything was cloudy and blurry. I landed the quinjet down on the snowy mountain top near the entrance. I sat in the quinjet for about five minutes until I heard a knocking at the door. I pressed the button to open the door and turned around in the pilot's seat to face the person who came in. "Ah Captain, it is nice to see you again. " It was Mr. Bennet, he had a smirk on his face like he knew I would be here. "What the hell do you want?" I even noticed the angry tone in my voice.
He chuckled a bit before stepping closer to me, "I think you know what I want. The ringing in your head was telling you to come back home." I growled a bit in my throat before I yelped out when the ringing came back. "Why-" I grunted a bit, "Why..are you..AH!" I screamed before falling out of the chair. Mr. Bennet chuckled a bit, "Why am I doing this?" He chuckled again, "I am not doing anything. I am not doing anything at all. You are doing this to yourself. Well to be accurate, your other side is doing this to you." I screamed out again, "What..other side?" I questioned.
Mr. Bennet snapped his fingers and two other men came in, "Take the Captain to his room. Get him ready and make sure he doesn't escape." They both nodded before picking me up by my arms and dragged me up and out of the quinjet. I wanted to fight back but the pain was too much to do anything so I just let them drag me away. We finally reached the room I was in before, it was cold, dark, almost empty and smelled of gunpowder. They threw me on the bed before walking out and slamming the door shut. There was a table with the Hydra uniform folded on it. The ringing went away which was an amazing feeling, I got some peace and quiet in my head for the first time in two days.
I stood up and walked over to the table to examine the uniform, the crimson red with the white accessories really pulled everything together. The Hydra logo replaced the star on my actual uniform, the red and white stripes on the abdomen was now red and black along with the blue on the chest was replaced with a void black colour, the Avengers logo on the shoulders were now Hydra logo, and the belt buckle had the logo on it as well. Underneath the uniform was the shield they gave me, black, red with the stupid octopus logo again.
A knock on the door startled me, when I jumped around I saw Mr. Turner walk in, "Ah Captain, you are up and walking around, good and you found your uniform! Good! Now I'll be back in about five minutes, change and when I come back we are going to the main room. If you are not changed when I get here we are going to have problems. Understood?" He changed his tone at that last word. Nodding my head I saw him straighten up, "Use your words, I am not a mind reader." I took a step back and hissed, "Understood." He narrowed his eyes, "Understood what?" I glanced down super quick as to not anger him again, "Understood. Sir." He smiled and walked away before closing the door behind him with a loud clank.
I looked down at the uniform, "Why. Why me?" I muttered to myself before changing into the Hydra uniform. I forgot what the uniform felt like, it was a light fabric but tough enough to stop a knife, it fit scary perfectly, I was able to move comfortably without the fabric scraping my skin, I hated it. I placed the shield on my back just in time for Mr. Turner opened the door. "Ah good. You look perfect Captain. Now follow and please don't try to escape, you'll get nowhere." He motioned for me to follow and scared out of my mind I followed him out into the main room. I wanted to scream but I was too scared to even say a word or a sound so I stayed quiet and walked all the way to the room. "Please, don't do this to me again. I rather die than see my friends hurt at my hand..." I thought as the doors opened.
