Bakugou POV
There was no way Deku had joined the villains... right? Surely failing final exams hadn't been that awful for him. Dammit now I'm worrying about that damn nerd I changed my focus to my still slightly shaking boyfriend.
I walked with him back towards the office once he had finished updating them. I got why seeing Deku like that had shook him up so much. They had basically been best friends throughout our three years at UA. He kind of dropped off the face of the earth after finding out he failed, but Sho never really stopped worrying about him. "Sho, you know there's nothing you could have done right?" I tried to comfort him.
He nodded "yeah I guess" I hated when he sounded sad like that. I grabbed my phone and texted Eijirou
💥 yo I'm taking Sho to dinner. I'm finally gonna do it so dont expect us back for a while this has to be perfect
💪cool man, no problem see you guys later, go get your man and good luck
I took Shoto's hand in my own and led him to our favourite restaurant while I texted my plan to the manager. "Kat what are we doing here?" He mumbled instead of answering him I spoke to the man who was seating us. Once we were seated I asked them to inform the manager that I was there.
"Hey Sho, I know I don't say it very often but I really do love you" he smiled a little "and I know seeing your friend like that must hurt but I promise I will always be here for you" the waiter took our orders and left. "Thanks Kat, I really do appreciate that and everything you do for me"
We carried on talking and Sho seemed to have cheered up. The waiter brought our food over and we ate in a comfortable silence. "Hey Sho, you ever think about the future?" I asked curiously while we waited for deserts. "More often than I'd like to admit" he laughed a little and covered the adorable blush forming on his face.
Our deserts were brought over and the waiter slipped me the last thing I needed to make this moment perfect. When we had both finished and our bowls had been removed I picked up the courage I needed. "Shoto" I didn't use his full name very often anymore and just that fact alone made my heart pound in my chest. I steadied my breathing a little.
"Shoto Todoroki I love you so much and I would really like it if" I got down on my knee and opened the small box "you would marry me" I was sure my face was bright red. I got more nervous at his lack of response. Maybe he isn't ready for this. Maybe he doesn't feel the same way. Maybe he's just happy being the way we are. I had started nervous shaking which I hated doing especially since I couldn't stop myself.
"Katsuki Bakugou, of course I would" he finally wrapped his arms around me. He whispered softly into my ear "sorry I caused a panic attack, even if it was only a little one, you just took me by surprise" I loved that he knew what one of those looked like without me having to say anything. I also loved that he didn't make me talk about them. I put the ring on his finger and got back onto my feet.
I gave him a kiss before our waiter handed me my phone back. "I'm glad you said yes because I had the whole thing recorded" I smiled at my new fiance and we walked to the house I had recently bought. "Kat, where are we?" He asked I grabbed the key from my pocket and held it out to him "this is our new home, that is, if you wanna move in"
He excitedly took the key and ran to the front door opening it with record speed. "I love it, I'd love to move in with you and most importantly I love you" he had started crying happy tears again.
